Let’s hope the £17.90 was persimmons bottom and it moves forward now. You usually don’t have much time to get the bottom as it rises quickly.
In 2020 I watched the share drop and everyone at work was flooding my head with the idea the share would drop into single figures, I even saw the bottom of £13.67 in my share account and had £16k ready to top up but like a fool I waited as I was blinded by the idea of single figures. Anyway I ended up buying at £15.50 as each day you think it’s going to drop again but it never does so if your trying to hope for a lower price now make sure your no bothered if you have to buy in at a much higher price.

Wisco, let’s hope this is the correct buyin but no one knows as you could borrow to put in here now and in a months time they could be in the £17’s? No one knows, I’m a little miffed at my timing with card as I topped up 30k shares at 56p a couple of weeks ago and look where we are now.
I’m not bothered by my decisions as it was still a good price but I just wish I could get my timing sorted as I’m new to buying and selling shares

Cashola, You only buy cards when you need them and if people aren’t buying them why is it every new home I see when someone has moved in the window sill is littered with cards and the rise of happy birthday banners across doors. If there is a banner on the door it’s very doubtful the house won’t have multiple cards in as well.
With a population of over 60m and rising card giving won’t stop as for example if you were skint and it was your parents 40th anniversary would you turn up to their home with no card and no present? I think the card would be a definite!

I normally spend my dividend in other shares but if persimmon stays this low I will have a few thousand dividend from them soon which I would for a change put back in here.

CSDI, Persimmons share price will always rise so just take this opportunity to add as many as you can unless you think it will drift lower? I can’t see it going much lower? I always thought £18 but when this rises it will be very quick to move as it always is but with no more dividends till next year people will be in no rush to jump back in.

I would expect a rise on the price of a house as more are getting pay rises and persimmon isn’t going to absorb those costs.

Simes, so if the drop is down to a declining business how do you explain the 25% drop over the last two weeks in BP? Most ftse shares are in freefall.

Well as usual persimmon seem to pull a rabbit out of the hat to get all its half year handovers down I expect the half year results to be better than last year?

The drop has been pretty wide spreaad and compared to two weeks ago I would say my portfolio has dropped by about 25%. I wish I was savvy enough to know what was happening as although my trade account shares can’t be sold due to cap gains I could of emptied my ISA for lower buy in bargains.

I’m hoping the AGM gives good news to boost the share.

I bet your pleased you didn’t sell your Barclays shares to put in here as Barclays has risen and these have took a big tumble.

All this talk of recession from the papers is all I see but that’s what sells their papers sensationalism. We all know food and fuel has increased but if it wasn’t for the papers constantly going on about a recession would any of you of thought about it ?? Or do you know many people struggling to live? As far as I’m concerned I haven’t seen or know anyone.

CSDI, I wasn’t bothered about £18 dead I was just on about that range and here we are. It’s following a similar path to what it did 3/4 years ago. Let’s hope it stays in this range for a while :-)

Would be nice as a buying opportunity if it did drop to the price your hoping for but I can’t see that happening as sales are still strong and whatever happens you always need somewhere to live.
On the last crash persimmon refused all their sites to get rid of bigger houses and put a selection of terraced and semi detached houses in their place so if similar happens they will just concentrate on more 2/3/4 bedroom properties to get more people moving in.

It will rise, I had always planned on buying a lot when it hit this price but the stocks I was going to sell to buy more have dropped a lot so it’s not really worth it.

Think yourself lucky as with an average of £21.44 I’m sitting on a paper loss of about £6k. They will rise again so don’t worry yourself about it. I will be happy if they dip lower.

CSDI, if your after a punt into a miner have an invest in UFO. I have been buying and selling out of them for two years and some time in the next few years it will multi bag but there willl be a lot of rises and falls in that time.

CSDI, years ago I first started with 274 shares and said to my lass if it doubles in price in 8 years it will pay for four quality holidays instead of two. As it happens within 3 years it had tripled in price and I have been topping up ever since.

Was terrible this morning as I saw it sitting at 59p to buy for near on twenty minutes in my share account but every time I went to sell some it gave me 54.6p

Allowing for the dividend the drop so far has been an extra pound, would of loved to of sold some more yesterday in case what happened today did but I didn’t want to take the chance.
Nice big dividend to pick up in a few weeks half in my isa as well :-)
