Wish I had some insight to the drop as I had just bought 750 shares then twenty minutes later it’s down to £21.45, I wasn’t very happy.

I wouldn’t be taking share advice on lse as it’s a sure fire way to loose money. Psn is a cracking long term share to hold.

The last time oil was $144 a barrel it was nearly two dollars to the pound so that’s what kept the price per litre lower. The brexit bonus was a reduced value in the pound.

Psn”s share price dropped to £2.20 in the 2008 crash and it took a few years for it to rise to about £6. Only after announcing the help to buy scheme did the share price to start to rise and a good price for psn was £26 until in 2019/20 it hit £33 which had never been seen then after a COVID fall it rose back to £32 then slowly started dropping.
I do think this will hit £33 again probably next year and it will probably be about £40 in another decade or less but an average high for psn is normally between £26-£28.
I plan to hold my psn shares well into my pensionable age as I’m more interested in the dividends as an income but if this share rises I do plan to trade it but no one knows when is the best time to trade so it’s all down to luck.

If this takes off after I sell I will just put the money in card, if card rises 10p it will more than outweigh a few ££’s here and I will just buy my shares back later on in the year. No more dividends till next year so no rush to buy back in.

Wisco you don’t need to convince me as I’m extremely bullish on persimmon and would happily sell all my other stocks and put in here.

I doubt the June house target will be hit as there is a shortage of combi-boilers and if the house doesn’t have one fitted now it’s doubtful it will make a June handover.
The hold up will result in lower completions for the half year period.

I think this will be a bad year for the house builders due to the sentiment towards cost of living?
I’m torn by the idea of selling 700 Psn shares on 15th June and either moving that cash short term into another stock or hoping the share price will drop a lot more than the dividend on the 16th.
If I’m wrong it won’t be too much of a hit selling that amount.

I see there is an AGM on the 22nd June, do these meetings have a positive effect on share price or does it make no difference what so ever?

I think it will be share holders that have bought directly thru them and not a broker.

It was that long ago they said card factory was overvalued and now they are saying it’s 33% undervalued. I think all the analysts just make it up as they go as if a share has a rise they all change their tune.

There is a trading update on July 7th then half year results on 17th august. So you have until then to get cheap shares as once good sales figures are announced this price will be a distant past.

43p isn’t exactly a high and is a good buy in price.

The share price is taking a while to rise which makes me think it may not rise much in the next year or so which is good news if your buying, I’m waiting till ex day to see what happens with the share as if it doesn’t rise it has to drop another £1.10 so I would rather have the cheaper share that pay more tax on the dividend.
Persimon’s can’t build the houses quick enough for thaw sales coming in and a shortage of labour and people wanting more money is causing more hold ups on the sales. Will have to wait and see if they achieve their half year sales figures as the sales are there but completions are slow and there is no payment until the house is complete.
