I was wanting to invest in Ineos near the end of last year when it dropped to 440p but I can't find them anywhere on Halifax's trading app. I have them ln my yahoo watch list but thats as much as I could find. Someone I know in oil industry told me in September that they will be a Good future stock?

Nomad, I'm a lot younger than you but your plan is similar to mine, I have six good stocks for dividend when it fully returns and I plan to invest this dividend for the next eight years and then I'm going to slow down at work.

All my dividends I get I will invest into which ever of my shares is the best price at the time. I also plan to sell my allowance every year to buy into my lowest price stock. Even if I only gain a small margin doing this it's still a gain.

Probably due to the fact directors will get shares as bonuses and as part of their wage plus they will be on a Good wage, for example if a bottom of the tier director gets 50% of their wage a year in shares with the share price being lower they are just getting more shares. What's the point of spending your money when you don't have to.

Nomad, thats the thing with big rises, not many people will still be holding. I know a few who still hold Taylor Wimpey from a 4p buy in and they still hold a paper value in millions. Some I know sold out at £1.

What I never realised was the rise in Netflix as if you put £5k into Netflix in 2009 it would be worth about £500k now but how many people have let their stocks ride to that price. I'm sure I would of cashed out at £20k but that depends on your bottle.

CSDI, there is nothing wrong with buying at top dollar prices, its just how you handle it.

I bought into BP in February at 470p and kept topping up on the way down but I never expected such lows.
I was keeping my money for another stock so when this dropped low I never topped up. No one has a crystal ball so guessing bottoms and freak world pandemics is beyond most people.

Cashed out on this stock today, I originally had no plans to sell, but a stock I wanted more dropped so I robbed Peter to pay Paul. I hope IAG outperforms people expectations in 2021 as if they do well so will my other. I was always annoyed when I had to plough extra money in with the RNS but the rise after that was more than enough to make me never worried about taking part in another one again.

Help to buy finishes end of February so there will be a rush for completions before the end date. Will have to wait and see if the government comes up with another scheme or just sit and wait to see how well sales go after its end. No matter what the price you always need somewhere to live and married people can't keep living with mum and dad.

Dacorum, how can there be surplus unsold stock when they have an online service and cards don't have an expiry date. A 21st birthday card from 10 years ago could still be used today and no one would know unless it was signed.

Its has an average price of 375 for 2021, will it outperform this?

Its not really investment advice as I'm buying one of those stocks on Monday, its will Aviva outperform in 2021?
What I have learned on the boards is there are people who really do know what they are talking about.

Managed to top up a couple of hundred shares today but missed todays bottom and since I wasn't putting a huge amount of cash in I wasn't interested in waiting to see if it could drop further.

Long term investors may have suffered this year but investors like myself who have only really ploughed in this year will be due great rewards in 2021

I have a few thousand Aviva shares at an average of 260 and although Aviva have risen nicely it hasn't budged much recently. I have a couple of thousand to invest on Monday and was going to top up Persimmon but now I'm torn between topping up Aviva? Will Aviva outperform in 2021 as I know Persimmon will.

With this staying positive today and most other stocks dropping a lot I decided to dip my toes in this share today at 40.4p. its not it's lowest but I think it's a more positive sign and still a great price? Also saw a great opportunity to top up RDSB.

Hell of a lot more risk was involved buying in the banking crisis of 2009 but the brave had better rewards. I knew nothing about investing back then but I wish I did as I would of backed Taylor Wimpey at 4p a share. I know a few people who made a killing even buying at 7p a share.

I also have been watching this share for a while and it reminds me of SIG of which I have sold out of twice in the past 6 months, the possibility is there to more than double your money but the time it is taking to rise makes me think no. I had no spare money when it dropped to 30p and nearly put money in when it was 38p but instead choose another stock. Since that decision the stock has only risen 3p on today’s price so I’m pleased with my choice.
I have just raided some more money out of my ISA and will have funds this week so I may revisit this share next week.

Virtually all my holdings are for collecting dividend apart from two, of which I plan to sell after April once they see a good rise. I plan eight years of reinvesting dividend them cash out the lot.
