You (and also buried treasure) clearly don't understand what de-risked, or fully-de-risked means, in regard to a development.

Tulu Kapi will be effectively fully de-risked when construction starts, and totally derisked when production starts. ie the risk of Tulu Kapi not happening when production has started is 0%. The risk of Tulu Kapi not happening when construction commences is circa 3%. The current risk of Tulu Kapi not happening is possibly more like 15%-20% (or if you think that the market valuation is correct 80%!!)

We are talking about de-risking the Tulu Kapi project. Nobody is claiming that investing in KEFI is risk free. Putting your money in a savings account isn't even risk free lol

You should really consider educating yourself more about an industry, including terminology, before you consider investing in it.

Burried Treasure, you have misunderstood what I mean by 'fully de-risked'. Obviously typical operational and business risk will remain, which will be higher in Ethiopia than say Australia, but those risks are constant and will remain through the full mine-life. At any stage a war could break out and suspend mining, etc.

By fully de-risked I mean 'risk to development'. Once the finance is sorted, licensing is sorted, and construction commenced, 99% of the reasons why TK might not happen are gone. Unless they dig up some dinosaur bones during construction, the development can be considered 'fully-de-risked' at that stage.

It's crazy that naysayers are still scraping about looking for some kind of negativity. Is it just sour grapes because they hadn't the balls for the risk, and now they're sad because those who do have finally seen that it's going to pay off?

FWIW the interest is irrelevant to the movement in value between commencement of construction and commencement of production, as there will have been zero repayment by both stages, and therefore an accrual for full interest should be made in both Valuations.

Again operational risk is also the same at commencement of construction and commencement of production, therefore there is limited movement in Valuation. What you then go on to describe is not operational risk, but development risk, which is incredibly small and just falls under general risks which again remain fairly constant between both valuation calculations.

Stringer, the only difference between commencement of construction and production it the factor allowed for time, which will realistically only be 5%-ish considering a 2-year build. By the time we are started construction (few months time) we will effectively be fully de-risked.

In reality I expect the interim period to be further exploration (funded by TKGM) of the underground mine, which is expected to easily yield another million oz. So by that stage instead of being 10p at construction and 12p by production, it will be more like 10p at construction, 15p by production and 18p by the time the underground mine comes online in say 2028.

Rob, as I was telling you earlier - more reading and less typing. Nobody thinks that an agreement was signed, if they did then this would be well over 5p. The AFC ratification was approved, which was the only significant remaining risk to the TK deal. That is now sorted so it is all downhill (and sp uphill!) from her to production in 2026.

Stringer, it doesn't matter how long it takes now, so long as it's sometime within the next two months. It has been approved by the government and will therefore will 99.9% be ratified, and therefore can now be considered de-risked.

I don't think anybody is expecting signatures on Monday?

Perhaps on Tue (or perhaps not for a week or more) we will see the ratification 100% approved by HoPR, which might generate an RNS that would open the flood-gates. Luckily we all already know about it, so it's already de-risked. Those in the know currently have the lastminute.com opportunity to get those final tickets before this train leaves the station.

Forrest, this isn't a KEFI promise. This is a major de-risking event carried out by the EG and AFC. The gold in the ground is JORC compliant RE, and the price of gold is what it is. The only part of the formula that KEFI are supplying is the AISC.

This isn't a gamble on the work of Harry. Its monetisation of striking gold!!

ForrestGump, how could KEFI even do that? And why would they do that? And even if they are, by the time it's sorted the sp will be at 2p, so to raise a few million will only be a blip.

Perhaps if you're worried though, you should dodge buying shares at 0.65p now, and instead pick them up at 1.8p, discounted down from 2p, in a few weeks time lol

Rob, it is not to do with KEFI. It is to do with AFC, but it unlocks the $240m TKGM loan.

It also hasn't been RNS'd because it hasn't yet been ratified, even though it is now almost certain to happen.

We are in the enviable position that we have this info through the links posted on here last night, before the wider market has been made aware by an RNS. You can still get in now sub-1p. This will now be formally ratified and RNS'd and then the flood-gates will open.

Yep, from 0.5p to 0.7p is absolutely nothing when this could be at 2p by open on Tuesday, and is only going in one direction over the next two months.

Stringer, oh yea, easily. What I am saying is that by July (assuming finance close) we should technically (based on NPV calcs) be at 10p. Judging by sentiment on here, a lot will be satisfied with 2p/3p/5p/etc, so I expect a bit of churn to get through before we fully 'correct'.
