Jiffy, it's about £10 a litre. Then I suppose that's how all of these things are when they first emerge. Mind you, there is probably more chance of conventional fossil fuel petrol getting to £10 a litre in the mean time lol.
Unless there is a new way of generating electricity, then I don't see electric vehicles becoming mainstream, lets face it, they are not clean. The battery production is filthy and they currently run on gas, coal and a bit of wind with sprinkles of nuclear. Then of course, if everyone has one, the government will suddenly realise they are bad and need to be heavily taxed, just as they did in the past.
Not sure diesel has a future at all. I currently drive a powerful petrol car, but nothing beats the torque of a diesel.
