Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
We must be some way off getting our tests either approved or ready for distribution. Surely the government would have held off with their announcements about this “game changer” saliva test (which we know is not as good as ours) and all this PR about other 60-90 minute swab tests, if ours was anywhere close to approval/subsequent production? When can we expect to hear something from Alistair? The silence each day Is more deafening. If we can’t get the
tests out, then let’s focus on other exciting projects
Every month delay delayed is a loss of potentially millions of pounds of revenue as I think it is not unreasonable to expect a therapeutic treatment and vaccine by end of Q1 2021. When we reach that stage, you must question whether companies/individuals/governments will still want to spend as much on tests. Therefore we will be falling back on our other non-Covid projects to bring us in some income. I know these are also very exciting (and that is also why I have invested so heavily) but we would all like some earnings into the business ASAP as the market cap/current SP reflects this going to market by early autumn (I just don’t see/hope that tests will be required come this time next year as we should be through this terrible disease by then). I am holding with the belief that we are “almost” there regards the accuracy of these tests but it is somewhat disappointing that we haven’t got the nod before now as each month‘s delay is potentially costing the company millions of lost sales.
Thanks GLA.
Some contributors here have suggested they have the results and are holding off to tell us that manufacturing, distribution deals are all in place and that is the reason for the delay in not getting back to us with the results. If that is not the case, we should be expecting results, quoting Alistair, “in the summer” and “soon”. “Soon” in business terms is only 2/3 weeks and if I recall he mentioned “soon“ almost two weeks ago. I think (will be disappointed ) if we don’t hear the results this week. These tests would be rushed through given the government concerns re a second wave come the Autumn. I think it is reasonable to be slightly concerned given the delay (and I don’t like saying this) about theIr accuracy?
If Avacta have had their COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test approved (and are holding off telling us whilst they get all their ducks in a row regards distribution etc), would they have they not an obligation to tell investors this by a RNS? With all this Mendusa/Saturn app business going on in the background, seems to me like we are putting the cart before the horse. I really think that investors should expect an update on the results this week given that Alistair has already told us “it works”.
Why pluck a figure like this out of the air unless of course you actual want it to go back by 15% tomorrow? Silly me... of course you do! Nobody is expecting anything worse than a holding sp until the results of the expanded trials are in and that will take at least a couple of weeks. Wasn’t it Motley who have SNG as a recommended buy up to 360p? Please give some thought before posting
Trump made reference to the recovery rate (in the US) being significantly better now than it was back in April (thus lower number of Covid related deaths v those who are contracting the virus) and this was due to the availability of better therapeutic treatments. Is that factually correct... are there less people getting seriously ill as that would suggest then that a cure for this disease is not as important now as it was back in March? I am not reviewing the US fatality figures on a daily basis but they do appear to be on a much lower growth curve. I suppose it must still be a serious concern to the US (and the world) as media still seem much more obsessed about delivering on a vaccine rather than a cure as the Vaccine manufacturers seem to always grab the headlines
I bought at 95p last Monday (sorry guys I was a bit of a late arrival to your party but having researched heavily this week I am not deterred by buying in again early doors Monday despite some “silly” comments as I think there is an opportunity to make a quick killing on this one - surely a sale to one of the big boys is imminent (but that’s for another discussion) ? Thanks to all us newcomers for your invaluable insight and depth of knowledge on this share
I’m a recent investor in both SNG and Avacta (and am excited about the prospects for both) but I thought I would share with you some commentary from the Avacta chat forum:- the contributor was discussing prospects for all the Covid stocks and as you can see below, he is really negative about SNG. Surely our treatment is showing more promise results than anything out there and it’s certainly grabbing a lot of attention. What you all think? Perhaps he thinks Avacta can provide therapeutics results like SNG when it is very obvious their main USP is testing
SNG: As a therapeutic option. I'm not impressed. Dexamethasone costing pennies has better statistics than this. This'll be for ill hospital patients (perhaps). How many of those are there in the UK at the moment? Surprisingly few and if mass screening/testing keeps the prevalence and 'R' number down it'll hopefully stay that SNG: As a therapeutic option.
