Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Much as I would like it to be us as the sole test, if this was a business which I was running, I would like a back up supplier. I suppose we could look at the approach to vaccines... we didn’t go for a sole supplier but it’s fair to say we are administering a heck of a lot more AZ than Phizer
Good to see that that HMG are on script with this and if I was them I would get Dr Susan on every media outlet for the next few days (the Great British public aren’t exactly watching Andrew Marr unlike news nerds like me) to talk up these tests as a respected professional in her field until we get our sovereign test rolled out.
Annoys me too but the Gov can’t say they’ve bought a pile of sh.. or they’ll be challenged about spending £8bn more. No-one will be believe that the next batch will be better until they are in circulate and they see how much easier they are to use etc.
Anyone see this robust defence of LFTs from Dr Susan of Public Health England to Andrew Marr who was criticising amongst other things, the accuracy of LFTs, challenges when doing these at home and the problems when school children are showing positive and then have to isolate (and miss school when they may have a false positive) and then not be sent for a PCR. She told Andrew the false positives were 1 in 1000 and even PCR tests could show false positives. Are the Innova test results showing a 1% false positive rate (I didn’t think they were as good s that) but it seems that this government lady is going to be on message.... LFTs are what is needed to keep the infection rate down and get us out of this mess (especially when the sovereign test arrives early April).
Andrew Marr and other journos won’t be telling the government (and Avacta shareholders) otherwise!
Casper, why don’t you jog on now and stop picking on poor old Goldtrig. Jeez, he was only trying to give you BRH share holders some sound advice... swap for Avacta, double/triple your return in a few months and maybe invest that by buying back into BRH as you obviously feel emotionally attached to this share in 5-6 months time ... you’ll probably do okay then.
Can’t see where it mentions “sovereign tests” as an earlier poster stated. Am I missing somewhere where it references a preference for a UK test? Surely the Govt couldn’t state that! If it does say it has to be a UK teat, can’t think of anyone who will fit all that criteria other than us. It also appears to give an extension to the date which may be there to give us some wiggle room.... anyone notice that?
Thank you for that. Should have read the RNS history but such was the loss in my investment here (c80%) , I had lost enthusiasm on this share and accepted this as a bit of a lost cause. Until now that is, can’t believe JPM would be getting in here without doing their research (bet they know all about the court date). Confident that this as sound investment but was always going to be a LTH anyway. Talk about a dead cat bounce!!!
Now Ireland are taking about Antigen tests... https://www.rte.ie/news/education/2021/0302/1200469-school-foley/
We need ours out there ASAP instead of the rubbish tests currently available in UK as they’re already getting so much negative press
Can I ask if anyone knows what is the date in March when we have our FCA hearing?
As it’s all so quiet here today as we sit and wait for all our good news flows to arrive, just wondered did anyone see the Boohoo headlines on Sky! Glad I sold up all my Boohoo about 4 weeks ago to top up on Avacta. It could be carnage over there today!
Thank you for that but asides from NI
(no disrespect but its only a small market compared to GB) what marks (or rather what trade regulations as opposed to clinical validations) do we need to sell into GB?
Silly question but what does CE mark a full mean? We refer to it a lot. From what I can see from a quick look up on google it is only an approval for sales in Europe? Does that mean we don’t need a CE Mark for UK? Or is there UK equivalent of a CE mark and if so, does anyone know where we are with this or, once we receive full clinical valuation (whenever that will be?) can we just sell our LFTs into the UK market as there are other barriers?
If you can buy sub 300 in the morning I think you will be doing well. I have a relatively small holding but I will comfortably add at 300 as this is so much more than just a Covid stock. Nobody would sell until we see the results of the encology trial in the summer as the world is realising the patented technology which we hold for another 10 years!
