Mommur put it nicely " life changing money".
TSX ... 5,150,500 shares on the bid side at $0.135.
Goraxx, thanks for posting the link. Lets hope Total presses on with that take no prisoners attitude, it's what Eco has needed in a partner from its inception.
This news hit the TSX hard yesterday.
And some for decades ...
Between the nature of the oil found on our blocks in Guyana, and the political situation in Venezuela, I've written off Guyana. Namibia on the other hand I'm still very keen on and will soon add an additional 25% to my already substantial investment in EOG - when the price hits 15 cents CAD.
I've been holding on for over a dozen years now, which is crazy, but I just can't seem to let it go.
Hey Red, are you still invested? It doesn't matter to me where you are you sniping from, these guys need their feet held close to the fire, but this colonial is curious as to whether you are in or out.
Cheers Mate,
Might BP become involved in Namibia or Guyana? Eco would be a nice entry vehicle. www.washingtonpost.com/business/2023/02/07/bp-climate-emissions-oil-profits/
IJT, it'd be a smart move on Keith's part, but what of us - cash or shares in Africa Oil? Can't help feeling we've been had here.
LTT, my guess is we're into the sidetrack by now which keeps me optimistic - the consensus here is they wouldn't have bothered if they had hit TD and found nothing, no Hail Mary's, I guess. A 29th announcement of a successful drill would be great, if it's a duster wait until December 7th.
redwineday, I offered a takeout as a possible explanation for the delay and was told why it'd be unlikely if not impossible; only months ago, I'd have called anyone daft if they claimed we'd be the operator of a block and drilling. The latter scenario I still find harder to believe. "ECO is an AO subsidiary" no problem with that at all.
Molokai/IJT There could have been all sorts of scenarios set up some time ago in the event of a successful drill. I see your point, especially if Eco was still a one trick pony, but with Guyana and Namibia this now has too many working parts to at least not to have had a plan/price going into this drill. This must be getting old for GH, I'm sure an exit is still first and foremost on his mind.
IJT, could the drill have been a success and they are now delaying to coordinate the news with an announcement of a partnership or buyout? Perhaps the delay is due to negotiations.
Things are looking up on the TSX at least, closed up 17.74 % in TO. This punter is still very optimistic but since my guess of November 7th has come and gone, I'll revert to Eco's MO and go with December 7th as a new guess. GLA!
Just in case you're not pulling my leg there is supposed to be a bottle inside lol ... 41p equivalent in Toronto.
For the celebration we decided to go with a 12-year-old single malt Scoth Whiskey. Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2012 is embossed on the can. Having never tasted Scoth we thought we'd try something new, and since 12 years is how long we've been holding EOG ... Cheers!
Ottawa actually ... After 12 years in this one I don't get excited or disappointed anymore, but I still believe.
10p? If it weren't for 3B/4B perhaps, but a failure at 2B and we'd be sitting at 25p when the dust settles. 10p ... I'd be picking up a quarter million shares at that price. GLA!
Some of us have picked dates as to when we'll hear something, now how many here figure on the stock hitting 40p as to GH's expectations? I'll go first and say it will hit 40p before any announcements.
