Scotia Bank is one of the top 5 big banks over here, it's trading service is 'iTRADE' which charges CAD $9.99/trade, trouble is they won't allow me to buy ECO and suggested I ask GH for an explanation. Rather than ask Gil I transferred funds to Canada's top bank, Toronto Dominion, aka TD Bank. As of Friday's closing the TSX price for ECO was .500 whereas in London it was .3924 equivalent - on 73k shares the difference is over 5k GBPs which is a fair chunk of change for this colonial. After reading your reply I'll see if I can do better than TD.

I would like to purchase another ~ 75k shares of ECO on the London Exchange rather than pay the asking on the TSX. It'd cost me a one time 10 bucks to place the bid in Canada and I'd have as long as it takes to fill. To bid on the London Exchange it will cost me $150/day and my bid is only good for the day. At that cost I'd like to have my order filled the same day and was hoping one of you chaps could tell me what my bid would have had to have been on Friday to make that happen. There isn't much action on this board on weekends so Monday's numbers will be fine. Many Thanks!

Just buy a bunch under 30p then sell enough on the 2B run-up to cover your initial investment - how long you hold before selling separates the men from the boys - whilst keeping a core position to play 3/4B which I believe holds the end game for EOG. imho

When she said " the good stuff in the gold lane" it reminded me of 3B/4B - it's being "analogous" to the Venus & Graff discoveries.

molokai, it would be a great move for all in that it fits with what we heard in Oslo ie, Europeans won't be back tracking on their oil morality whilst the poorer countries we have invested in have no plans of quitting their oil reserves before getting their fair share of oil wealth. harel, if you haven't been trading this stock over the past ten years you've been sitting on dead money for a decade - there is still plenty of money to be made trading. Eco has been a strictly a buy on the lows and dump on the news stock for as long as I've been holding. Keith Hill says I'll better my money by a factor of 20, enough for a retirement place in the Cotswolds, in the meantime I'll have fun trading.

davwal, assuming that wasn't a rhetorical question, I'd wait until the sp falls below 25p and then start accumulating - significantly when it hits 20p. 2/B could be another Joe & Jethro despite Garret's 60% COS, so I'll dump roughly half those shares when the sp reaches the point where it has paid for all of them. Rinse and repeat for Block 3B/4B? Not this time, not for this punter, I'll be all in, and more. 3B/4B looks too much like Exxon's Liza with Venus and Graff at the head of a long line of wells to come.

Keith is a player, but from what I've seen that doesn't necessarily translate into drilling for us. Exxon was drilling like crazy right next door to us whilst Orinduik remains quiet, I'm hoping the same doesn't happen in 3B/4B after the Graff and Venus success. It's about the oil, not the stock price for me, but I'd rather not see another slump this summer when I typically add.
