Utilico Insights - Jacqueline Broers assesses why Vietnam could be the darling of Asia for investors. Watch the full video here.
A friend described the recent activity at a particular US Naval Air Base as so increased it appeared to be in preparation for war.
To olderandwiser's point - it's impossible to sell.
And here I thought the sp had seen it's last summer doldrums … late August, and with a history of being late on announcements this could be September. More buying opportunities ahead I suppose, still, I'm as optimistic as ever.
My understanding was the drilling was to commence April 17th but after so much time elapsing the difference is moot of course.
Somebody here previously stated the government wasn't interested in having an additional group drill Hammerhead due to additional costs being absorbed by Guyana. IMHO Diversified is quite correct when he refers to the 6 parties having to be on board with some sort of sharing plan re Hammerhead - ideally before drilling.
You appear to be using Marine Traffic Data, if you check Vessel details do you not find her "Speed recorded (Max / Average) 6.4 / 6.1 knots"? Begs the question as to how she'll make the crossing and start work in June.
Regardless, watching the Stena Forth beats reading the entrails of the TSX Venture at least - imho ; )
hereandnow, Marine Traffic is what I'm using on a free 6 month trial basis.
6.3 knots.

"It just depends where the rig is doesn't it?" Exactly, and fwiw the SF is still sitting in the Gulf of Guinea.
They are expected to hit 13 million barrels a day this year, by the time oil hits $100 again solar will be on line imho.
Looks as if I'll be back buying today, the sp appears to be heading to the mid one thirties.
The Yanks can survive $40 oil - they just get leaner, those that can't are quickly replaced by those that can.
They never have before. Swing baby swing. Where else can you make up to 40% in a week.
Fat fingers … once again thanks for getting back. My first post was scant of details, you surmised correctly about the second.
A case of having my cake and eating it too I'm afraid. I'll spend some time on your reply, many thanks.

Hi Extrader,
Hi Extrader,
Yes, less cash which I considered, but I was figuring on successful wells in which case the company would have a hefty war chest for future drilling, and with less shares outstanding the shares would be worth more. I don't pretend to have all the angles figured due to a total lack of experience with this sort of thing, itsyou has worked in the corporate world which is why he was mentioned in particular. "Newbies" are going to want a quick buck and get on with something else, I on the other hand feel comfortable with this management and would like to make this last as long as possible. I suppose I'm looking for a dividend/reward of sorts for staying with this for so long without having to sell my shares entirely and am wondering if there isn't some kind of method/instrument that might address the same.
If this isn't possible fine, if there was another avenue I'd be glad to pass it along to GH but I won't waste his time with so much prattle.
Many Thanks,
DGR
Based on a successful summer would it be possible/practical for us to sell a percentage of our shares back to the company thereby taking profits whilst still holding a stake in the company. With enough cash acquired from a buy-back we wouldn't have to go hat in hand to the likes of Total again.
This could be all rubbish of course and don't hesitate to say so, but yesterday's leap was a wake-up call in that I could have sold out entirely and been quite happy - happy at least until a quadrupling.
Olderandwiser, hope you were Swing Trading those dips.
itsyou, good point re the Government of Guyana. They also had a significant say in the J&J drilling decisions making sure there was no cherry picking.
I made it my background the day it was posted lol … as far as the price being inexplicable, well that has been the MO for several years. Summer doldrums was the way I used to explain it but with so little time left before the spud this has gone to a new level of irrational price action.
A total of 13k shares on the bid from $1.36 - $1.31, yesterday I alone accounted for 80% of the shares bid on level 2 before the open. Fwiw ...
