Anyone mulling over picking up some Chariot?
Selling after the first or second well is a new wrinkle if I understand you correctly. The consensus I referred to was one whereby Eco would sell before any drilling/production. I’d think they’d hold on tight after a successful well even if out of their comfort zone.
Has there been a case where a junior explorer has had two good prospects, sold one, kept the other, and retained their corporate identity? If Total wants wants Namibia and Guyana I’d expect $US 8.00 svp – hope that isn’t unreasonable considering the wait.
"They'll never get to production before being bought out and if they do"
I'll bow to the consensus that in all liklihood they'll be taken out in Guyana IF they can extricate themselves while remaining an entity and pursuing their prime objective, which I believe is still Namibia - I'm too long in this to see it any other way. Has there ever been an O&G Exploration company that has done so?
Many Thanks.
Gil Holzman's departure not withstanding, how do you see a takeover proceeding? Most takeover harbingers, in my experience, tend to be rampers.
Yes, "great pains" selling Orinduik and no "intimating" re Namibia, neither of which is in the RNS which is what I thought this thread was about. Perhaps someone would like to sketch out some scenarios regarding how Eco would be taken out which don't involve Gil Holzman's departure.
What am I missing in the latest RNS that would suggest they are not going to "waste" any more money on Namibia?
Hammerhead seems to have certainly upset things but Gil Holzman hasn't changed his mind/timetable re Namibia. Have you read, or heard, something to the contrary? Please share if it liberty to do so, thanks.
Conversation dealing with takeouts and dilution are interesting enough but have me wondering if I shouldn't reduce my position further, before the sp gets to 40p.
Rhetorical question ... are we about to be listed on a Nordic exchange.
If Guyana doesn't pan out - god forbid - Namibia is waiting, I prefer not having all our eggs in one basket.
Again thanks, and as stated I'll use 'Hammerhead -2' until Eco comes up with a drill name and just hope others will know/assume what I'm re.ferring to - unless you'd like to give it a go : )
My error, I'll call it Hammerhead -2 if I don't PO anyone at Exxon.
its you, bang on! Why sell at a buck or two when 7 seems likey after Lutuk-1? This and the 15% lamenters are enough to ... time for those folks to move on, move on.
Yes, 9/11 to be exact, and the AVO analysis is not complete. You can tell in the video Gill Holzman was taken aback by the sudden/early Total announcement.
This self-off was to be expected, like many I dumped 20% in anticipation and figure on getting back in at 40p. If it doesn't well then I'll just have to get by with a million less.
Btw, did anyone find it odd Gil Holzman's using "English speaking countries" when acquiring new future blocks. Odd to bring that up, seemed out of the blue to this listener.
A revised CPR is coming, I knew better than to ask when. There will be no sale and no take over.
A few good wells will make that up. It'll be interesting to see what the sp looks like Monday morning when the smoke clears.
Any estimate on when we will see a new CPR, will it come with Total news? Fwiw, I agree with your 40%, double the 17-22% range.
Well I've been waiting for that move for quite awhile - I've promised my better half I'd do the same on your timetable.
Many Thanks!

Jim, rather than miss out I'd like to see Gil Holtzman try and get Total to come aboard in exchange for their taking a smaller slice of the Guyana arrangement - like h&n I never liked the current percentage.
h&n, bang on as per usual. I'll sell a whack of shares on that 15% and buy them back when it settles.
