WTI is trading basically at the same price as Brent at the minute, any top quality light sweet is in high demand.

It gets painful for them when WTI approaches $100 - comments are released and we get a $10-15 dip, and then it takes a week for oil to creep up to $100 again.

It means nothing, what counts is money in the bank and the amount of debt that will be bought in May. Also, a lot depends if they could successfully negotiate the outstanding gas payments with Ghana before the actual refinancing. Any further delays mean high interest rates paid to creditors for the notes that should've been simply cancelled.

Hi Tonyb33, on your 1st point: tankers that are allowed to pass seem to be instructed to take a specific route by Iranian shore and we hear reports that mines have been deployed in the strait (presumably somewhere along the main route?), meaning that even if all tankers were allowed to pass around the small island of Larak, the throughput will remain extremely limited.

The market really hates oilers: Brent rebouned to $105, which is Friday's price, and TLW is under 12p. If oil goes to $200 and then retraces back a few dollars this stock will be 10% down.

Does Iran know anything about it?

It wouldn't surprise me if we see $100+ oil price for a while. Premium quality oil is not unlimited and selling that stuff at $60 didn't feel right in todays economy.

This is because of investors' confidence, when money is in the bank then the SP will move.

21p will bring some confidence back. I reckon we'll get good momentum around June - August time after news on how much was repaid / borrowed, positive H1 results - most likely ahead of guidance for a change.

They have agreed in hope that those reserves would be replenished soon.

Your employers are fools for shorting Tullow! Change the tape, the company was not refinanced at the expense of the SP growth - the SP has surged massively from its lows.

The way shorting works is that borrowed shares are immediately sold into the market. Borrowing shares and paying high fees to hold makes no sense whatsoever. What's up with your "limited upside" claim at 12p? I thought you predicted the ceiling but 25% in less than a week isn't so "limited".
