I hold a good number of vtu share but selfishly i have a bond maturing in May and with the interest rates as they are it's not worth renewing. So was going to tip it in here. But could do with it staying where it is. ( i know that's not what everyone else wants ). Just my luck

I didn't expect to much to happen to the SP. Another steady rise upto the 10th may. 51p 52p I can't see this getting out of the fifties this year ( hope I'm wrong ). Brexit is still holding this sector back. Even if Robert could walk on water it won't make much difference. Bwtfdik. Happy with 59p year end but still a great lth if u don't need your money out quickly. Always end a bit rampy

Trading update looks ok. Aftersales and used car sales looks good. New cars down. As always the devil in the detail on the 10th May. Nice to see 70m available to expand no more placings for now. That's great news. Happy

Listerined. I don't either but they are fond of doing them. Doubled shares in issue in 4 years. Market hates them and so do i. On a more postive note good results in the post. Happy days

Yes seen those 12521 strange. On a different note when the results land i hope they don't increase the divi to much and use the cash to fund any expansion. We don't want anymore placings. Good luck

Now that's a ramp. 458 i think even if they have made that much i don't see them releasing it all into these results. Robert will hold some back for next year unless they have already been doing that in previous year's. I remember PV saying the year we made 50m the amount that was held back kept our results good for the next 3 years. Clever bean counters.

The results are ok but the pension liability is a problem. I know that it may sort its self out if interest rates improve, but can't see this happening to any large degree short term or medium term. Haven't looked at the detail but they look ok.

Just ignore broker rating from cana they just quote the current share price as with lookers and vertu.

Not ramping by the way its just my opinion.

Webuy this is totally undervalued sp as is the whole sector. It's a great long term investment at these price's.

3 weeks away not long. At first when the sp went to 47p and seemed to be climbing i was expecting operating profits of 35m plus but now i have come back down to earth and think 32m ish. Could get a surprise wtfdik. Anyway not long. Imo

I expect the same with respect to used car margins due to the amount of pre-reg being done.

Agreed the results must be good. 50p end of Q1 may be on.

Cana are real crystal ball merchants. Vertu 44p that their current price. Lookers 126p also their current price. Well i think i will be a broker everyone current share price is my prediction. Simples. Idots

Dinoken no i have given up trying to guess. More buys than sells price come down and vica versa. I have been in this share since 2008 but hold long and don't try and day trade it. As always the MM control it. We just work around them.

New car sales = used cars from part exchange's i don't want to go into this again but read some post on here from earlier November i think to explain the effect's it has on the business. Also new car servicing is not the most profitable part of aftersales no or very little upsell. Older cars are better, much bigger opportunity for upsell. There is a fine balance in getting a garage to maximum potential and u need all the departments operating correctly to achieve this. J

Best for a while might we get to 50p in Q1. Good trading update very possible.

Trouble is it can't seem to hold any small rises just keep falling back. Lets see if we can pass 42p and hold.
