New car sales 9% down for September plus some big sells last night pulled this down 5% this morning. Seems to be recovering now so the half year numbers must be good. Will it hit 50p ?

Anyone got any info on how the September numbers look. The doom and gloom merchants maybe disappointed. Anyway if not we'll know next week for vtu. Gla

Yes very nice, but got a rush of blood to the head and sold another 86,000 today at 47p. Too early i fear. I'll never cream that curve get to excited. Nevermind see where it is around December for divi time or sooner if it drops. Still a few left though.

Well done Aldaniti frees up cash to buy back in if it dips. I used to be a lth but after brexit i lost 20k, admittedly profit. I now trade the arse off this share. :-))

Still holding but volumes very low MM's are going to move the price soon to stimulated some sales. Feel like Will Smith in i am legend on here.

Tried fishing around to see what may be brewing but can't uncover anything really. Maybe just a build up to good first half trading results. Lets hope the forcast is okay as well. Scrappage may be helping also.

Cheers Aldaniti, working on small margins of profit at the moment. Just don't want to leave too much cash in stock unless i can lower my average. My holding stock i have held for 9 years so would have to hit 50p to punt this. I'm not sure where this will go in November/ December so better have the cash ready to take advantage of any down turn if it happens. Good luck with your strategy. Interesting times :-))

Today. Traded my trading stock at 45.75p holding the rest to see what pushed this up.

Anon3 if they are trading in line with market expectations they will be making about 32m that's not including exceptionals. So a good divi is certain unless they put out a profit warning. Which to date they have not. Can only assume u were on the sauce Saturday night :-)) :-)). Gla

However to compensate for this decline in new car sales u need to improve used and aftersales. 1. These cars will soon come off their pcp contracts giving a good supply of 3 year old used cars which are in short supply. 2. Increased used car sales providing u can retain them for repair and servicing gives a much better upsell opportunity ( only the best groups will do this ). I don't predict share price but think u are on the low to negitive side. As also get a bigger slice of a smaller cake and vertu will be fine.
