Beginning to think i made a mistake topping up at 45p should of taken more time after making a profit its easy to get carried away. Long hold it is then.:-))

I don't think their is anything in the last statement we didn't already know. The market hard work on new and used car margins are being squeezed. On the plus aftersales is strong. The buy back for cancellation i don't see as a negative as it reduces shares in issue. Hence potentially increasing share price long term. Now electric cars are still some way off before they take a big market share and as someone mentioned earlier they still have to be sold and serviced ( but will put aftersales margins under pressure). Its the government that needs to worry about petroleum sales from a tax point of view. Share price is very low bias on the fundamentals of this business but i would say that I'm heavily invested. Just reading a article on vtu reference valuation score. It scored from 1 to 100. 1 being undervalued 100 being overvalued. Vertu scored 1 amazing. :-))

Will we get another dead cat. It has a habit lately of bottoming out at 43 - 44p then bouncing back to 47- 49p. Hope so. Trading update 5 weeks away. Difficult to call

Today at a flat 45p. Not sure if I've done this to early as it may drop some more. But took my profit from last week and gained an extra 3500 share's with this trade. We'll see, just hold long if I'm wrong.

Masked i wouldn't beat yourself up I'm always doing that. Just done that on another share watched my money double and then half. It's not the buying it's the sellling that's the hard part. Good iuck and don't listen to us make up your own mind.

Aidaniti 44p would be nice. Last buy was 46p sold at 49.5p Might go lower u never know ?

I took some profit yesterday at 49.5, 3p a share 2k more than divi. Left some in just in case it continued to rise, but think your right Aidaniti may fall back now. Patients is the game now, waiting for the right reentry point. No rush may wait till November in time for the next divi in January.

Gents just reading your posts this morning. I do think September update in crucial however things get leaked just like Lookers their share price is in free fall, I've no doubt they have a trading update due and its not so good. Trevor selliing share in the dragon also a indicator that their results might not be to clever or that their forcast is poor. The pressure on this sector with talk of electric cars ( will kill service margins ) and brexit. I don't see any big groups buying the other at the moment. Cash is king in weak trading. However i agree with you both that this is a well run group and out of the 3 is the best business. Good luck i am also holding on to my share but looking more towards 2020 to see 75p again.

The next update ( beginning of September) is going to be the ball breaker. If good and confident of hitting full year forcast will drift into the 50s. If not and they downgrade the forecast expect 38p again. I think with the strong aftersales we should be okay. Imo.:-))

Someone's just brought or sold 2% of the company. I say that because u can never trust lse's reporting. Buys showing up as sells etc. Rns to confirm no doubt depending if its crossed any thresholds.

Masked where did u get the 68p from,. If its a broker rating u can take that with a pitch of salt. Most motor shares never get anywhere near the ratings. For me with brexit still killing this sector 50p would be good for now. However may have to wait 2 years plus to see 60p again bwtfdik.

No ones going to buy the dragon its a can of worms. Not for 31p a share. They couldn't find a buyer at 1p back in 2008 :-))

Volumes low. Might be a purchase in the offing. No volume to justify divi takers Unexpected.

Uddinkas I'm working on 3 years get my works pension then. I would like to be out of shares all together by then. If i could get a 4% return without risk. Don't think that's going to happen in 10 years. So still be here :-))

Uddinkas I've mucked around a bit. Got in at 11- 14p 2008 took 30k profit 2012 now have 174049 at 48p. Long hold now take the divi. If it drop into the thirties will add some more. Better divi than crap interest rates :-))

I think this sector is fooked for the next 2 years until a brexit deal can be done. Not sure if the election results are good or bad don't really do politics. As i have said before its the forecasting thats the problem, medium term the city say no.:-)) I've got over £80k in here so could do with it going north. Oh well lifes a ***** and all that.

The sector is jusy drifting at the moment 42p before September update. Even then not sure we will see any recovery. You never know it might dead cat from here. If we had the answers we would all be rich.:-))

Uddinkas don't think they will go mad. Think they will purchase on the cheap or from competition, when put under pressure from manufacturers to take market area. Just hope after May the share price goes north :-))
