Saint, i think it’s a purely cosmetic exercise done by the BoD for PR purposes, trying to support the s/p by giving pis false hope.

granting free warrants (or free extensions to expiring warrants, same thing) to BoD mates brings no benefit at all to ordinary shareholders … effectively giving free warrants is just like giving free money away out of the company, tho’ in this case the value is utterly trivial.

Warrants are neither here nor there. it costs the BoD nothing at all to give the extension (and to keep on granting it until the star wormwood falls from the sky) and it might help to keep some gullible pis’ hopes alive that there will be a deal. pure smoke and mirrors.

(? & who is running this morning’s pathetic share price support operation, buying that smattering of £250 / £500 amounts to try to hold back the nose-dive? — this share is worth zero.)

A truly appalling company. hard to tell whether the auditors were laughing or crying while they wrote their bits.

although mac’s x account has been posting all that bat-**** crazy messiah stuff, the same guy continues to post on lse using his ‘aberdeenman’ id to ramp zioc, in relatively coherent sentences. the leopard doesn’t change his spots, just his ids.

re adme, it’s worth remembering just how limited the auditor’s task is. they don’t have to offer any opinion about how wise or not any investments are, or comment on company strategy, or predict future trends in the business.

they simply need to say whether or not the company’s accounts provide an accurate picture of the company’s financial position, sufficiently for market participants to make their own judgements on whether or not to invest etc, without being misled by missing or false data.

it speaks volumes imo that the auditors have not been able to confirm (in this very small, not particularly complicated or diverse company) that the accounts present an accurate picture that is not misleading to potential investors, even many months after the usual deadlines.

i think AV have got themselves a bargain, & deal confirmation dispels a lot of uncertainty although of course a moderate amount of execution risk remains.

but on the downside, outlook for UK rates in 2025 has turned pretty gloomy.
