Hi All. A profit is only a profit when banked. I am amazed by the amount of punters on here who think this is a sure thing and have over committed or gone all in. Newcrest are drilling at a fantastic rate but it may be a possibility that they are drilling blanks and are desperate to find the gold to keep Telfer running. There is an outside chance of this, plus many other unknowns that may come into play . Nothing is guaranteed and no matter what people on here say no one knows, so be careful. I am still holding but my ave is very low and i am comfortable with my level of exposure. ATB Speedy

Hi Schlmiel. Your musings align with mine on the possible outcome for Hav. Newcrest will want all of Hav. The negotiations for a 25% partnership with GGP would be very complicated and messy. If GGP own Hav in 12 mths time i will eat my girlfriend cat, win win for me. ATB Speedy

Hi All. Some posters on another share asked for info on possible mining opportunities, so i wrote a short message advocating GGP. A poster responded with all the following statements "Borelli on the BODs makes it a no go area", "the low grades are not commercially viable", "600mt underground makes it too costly to mine", "Newcrest will drill a few holes and then pass as did Newmont" , "the remoteness of Hav makes it too costly". "get out while you can as GGP will be worthless" I. suggested he does some in depth research, will keep you posted of his response. ATB Speedy

Hi Tiger. I agree, Borelli is bad. The farm in agreement with Newcrest gives them 70%, +5% after the asset can be priced, and Hav will come under their corporate governance. My bet is that Newcrest know what is there as they would not have 8 rigs drilling the hell out of the area for no reason,not a few holes as you suggest, also Newcrest are word leaders at block cave mining and 600mts is not a lot for them, also they have a massive processing plant just down the road waiting to filled with the HIGH grade ore. Before you run down GGP you should please do some deep research and i am sure your opinion would change. The only reason i have made this post is some posters on here are requesting info on possible mining opportunities and as far as i am concerned GGP is well worth looking at. As with all AIM Cos there is a element of risk and only a small proportion of your portfolio should be allocated. ATB Speedy

Hi Tiger. Alex Borelli is non executive chairman and his presence is for outweighed by Gervais Heddle (CEO), Callum Baxter( chief tech director), Clive latchum (ex Rio Tinto). I agree that in general gold explorers are a wild punt. GGP are blessed with a farm in with the one of the best gold miners in the world Newcrest and have so far found an unknown amount of high grade gold deposits in Western Australia, some times it is different and GGP is the exception to the rule.
