Hi Noobs. The POG is in a bull phase and we should expect slight pull backs as the bullion banks fight for survival. The correlation between GGP sp and the POG will more noticeable as the resource is defined and proven quantities are announced. ATB Speedy

What a great bunch of posters here, so much info supplied by individuals using their own time for others benefit, great stuff.I would like to write a huge essay on gold mining Mand A but i know nothing about it so my contribution is a great trading opportunity coming up. The first touch of $1800/oz will be heavily defended by the bullion banks, they do not want the price above it. I see a pull back to $1760/50 before the eventual rise to $1900. I am going short at $1800 for a quick $40/50/oz profit, then long for the ride to $1900. I only do this type of trading with gambling funds and i am not recommending it as an investment, just fun and beer money. ATB Speedy

Hi GGPThruandtrue. Not all African countries are the same, Ghana has a good record for miners and is expanding its economy fast. I have had my fingers burnt a few times investing in African stocks but that is also true about AIM stocks. I am not telling people to invest in Goldstone but looking at other gold stocks is good fun, especially when a small punt can give spectacular returns in the short term. ATB Speedy

The bullion banks will short the hell out of this when it reaches $1790 /1800. for those people looking to have a punt on the POG with a long term view there is very little risk to the down side, but short term traders would be better off waiting for the POG to stay well above $1750 for a few weeks before committing. A good trade would be short at the first hit of $1800.

Hi Scoutt. I see no point in trying to put a future price on an oz of gold i what will be worthless $$$. Maybe a better way would be, how many ozs of gold to buy an average 3 bed semi. Today approx 200ozs and i suspect it will be a bit less in 10 years. ATB Speedy

Hi All. The bullion banks are defending the POG @$1750 at all costs, as a rise above $1750 will cause them massive pain and will lead to a short squeeze and a spike to $1900 and beyond. The well run mining Cos and royalty streaming (WPM is a good one) stock holders will see good profits. ATB Speedy
