The head of Rolls-Royce has called on the British government to back plans for an engine to power the next generation of narrow-body aircraft, used primarily for short-haul flights.

Tufan Erginbilgiç, chief executive of the FTSE 100 aero-engine group, said he would like the government’s upcoming industrial strategy to “support competitively advantaged industries”.

Has anyone been keeping score of the RR engine orders, so Marine seen the Riyadh order (posted on here 3 times) 40 engines for 350-1000 and some 350 freighters.

SO iweb have done okay, and considering the low dealing cost, they are good value

Further to my comments yesterday evening on iweb reinvesting dividends. They did it this morning ..got them at 8.78 plus dealing costs. Not too bad.
