Too right Redirons. I used to get too invested in batting back their bouncers, but as was suggested, I decided to give the green bin a go, and you know what, it definitely worked.

Mr Freddie, currently there is no progress on the decline as we are awaiting approval of the new evaporation ponds. The answer to that is obviously NO it’s not sorted yet, as you well know ! But it doesn’t mean we have a problem. We can only go off official communications, and the last communication on the subject was that it’s in care & maintenance and will proceed shortly. If you know different, then don’t beat around the bush, spill the beans. What’s that, you know nothing ! Now where have I heard that before ?

Correct Freddie. Since retiring early, I now do the thing I had to give up as a young golf professional at the age of 21 due to an injury I sustained racing my Honda 500 motorcross bike.

I now play in national events up & down the country, such as the English & Welsh Senior championships, so £80 at Premier Inn’s I’m all too frequent with.

So that’s why I prefer to attend the TH’s and return home in a day. Maybe you don’t have anything to do Fred, but I don’t sit here all day every day just commenting on anything & everything like some !

Hi Bamps, I understand your predicament about getting to & from Manchester in the same day, but it’s no different to our predicament by living up North.

I’ve looked at several ways to do the trip to London, and by Rail is the most economical one.

The problem is the timing of when the TH takes place. So unless it could start a couple of hours earlier, it’s just not viable unless we are prepared to have the cost of an overnight stay in expensive accommodation added to our costs.

I’m not suggesting for one minute that all TH meet & greets are transferred to Manchester or Birmingham, but surely just one could be sorted, to allow us northerners the opportunity to experience what you’ve had for the last few years. I’m sure there are plenty venues available, but would have to make sure there were no whippet or racing pigeon club bookings first.

Well it’s obvious to us all it doesn’t matter to you DT, as you’re neither invested nor have a good word to say about GGP. So why even comment ?

Bamps, I have made the effort, twice in fact, but both times have been scuppered due to our very inept rail service. Having got myself suited & booted, I managed to get down as far as Crewe, only then to be told that due to unforeseen circumstances, the train will not be travelling past Birmingham New St.

As I suggested earlier, if they held the meeting at say 4pm, that would give everyone plenty of time to get home. Even you have stated you’ve nearly missed your train back on a couple of occasions, so my beef isn’t about where it’s held, it’s about the time it is held, but just because the Head Office is in London doesn’t mean it can’t be held elsewhere. Birmingham would be my suggestion as it’s accessible for most within 2/3 hours even by car.

Like I’ve said, London is fine with me, as long as the meetings are held earlier, rather than running the risk of having to spend an unexpected night in London at a cost that some did not plan for.

It’s only a suggestion, don’t shoot the messenger ! 🤷‍♂️

Why shouldn’t he come to Manchester or anywhere else in the UK got that matter, instead of always being in London ?

It’s a 20 minute flight for god’s sake. He’d be nicely tucked up in bed at the Savoy (London) come midnight.

He doesn’t mind travelling thousands of miles to attend forums were he tells the same thing over & over again, to try & attract institutional investors, so why not, just for once, come up north to engage with current shareholders who find it a right pain in the derrière to attend the America square meet & greets.

Just a suggestion, but if he where to hold the meeting earlier in the day, then it wouldn’t be such a problem for those of us who live past Watford Gap, as the last train leaves Euston at 21:15, meaning you have to leave the meeting early, and what is the point of that. SD has got all day to do these meetings, why always leave them until the evening ?
