RE: The real victims in the room22 Jul 2024 11:06
How long is a piece of string Freddie ? And just for your information my office as you put it, “is on’t tuther side o’th hill”.
How many more times Fred do I have to say, this investment isn’t about me but my family, and it’s a long term hold as far as I’m concerned.
Everything I’d hoped for regarding the development of Havieron and GGP’s role in it, isn’t too far away from coming to fruition. Once negotiations are finished, and all the i’s are dotted and t's crossed, it’s game on.
Like I’ve said before Fred, investment’s are investments, and for me it doesn’t necessarily mean take the first deal I’m offered. Yes as you keep saying, I could of walked away with quite a considerable sum, but I chose not to, but I don’t fret about it, that’s life, you seem to be more bothered about it than I, which I find strange seeing it’s not your investment. There are loads of investors out there Fred who either didn’t time their exit or kept hold of their shares correctly. Here’s a few off the top of my head for starters. Stephen Beecham with a holding of 180M shares closed his position at circa 11p.
Callum Baxter 100M shares, and still holding, why ? The guy who was on “The Sunday Roast” a couple of months back, Neil? who said he’d cashed out way to soon which had cost him £35M.
Timing the market at the perfect moment Fred is more luck than judgement. Did you choose the optimum time to buy in, or indeed sell, I fear not. As in everything we do in life Fred, in hindsight we could of squeezed a little bit more out of it, but for me, it’s about being content with what I have achieved, and I sleep soundly at night because of it. Each to their own Fred, each to their own !
