Problem for us at the minute is we are at the mercy of retail punters, we don't really have any solid investors buying in, just traders who come and go with the changing tides.

What I think might happen is that they focus on some kind of MoU for NXP002, to develop towards phase 1 with Dan as the intermediary to the potential licensee. Whilst NXP004 continues with further patent work before approaching the originator once or near the time patent is granted.

Personally I think they'll do further work on 004 before approaching the originator.

Happy to be proven wrong though.

Filter, in theory we should see the first patent application for NXP004 become public sometime this month. The company said it was submitted in September 2020, but I don't know whether that was early, mid or late September.

Not sure if there is an option to keep it out of the public domain.

On the selling, imho its either someone with a pre-set agenda to sell, whether its CPI or the remnants of DT's holding.

Or, looking back a few weeks, we had a week of heavy volume picking up traders who may have been anticipating deal news and todays RNS talks about outlicensing in the future which may have spooked them.

Someone is certainly intent on selling today. Ever get the feeling DT has yet to reach zero?

Its normal for people to have a permanent role for one company but also act as consultant to another. This does not provide any conflict or indicate any subterfuge. Indeed Julian Gilbert holds multiple board roles with competitors to NFX.
At least DG is only a consultant. His role now at NFX is about commercially developing NXP002, that is very clear from the announcement.

TRx are not interested in NXP002 as it does not fit their business, they have developed a very specific method of drug delivery using lipids, this does not relate in any way to inhaled tranilast.

Well, I for one am quite pleased with this announcement. Yes there are questions over what and why happened to stall things over the past year or so. But it is quite an astute strategy to follow now.

Dan has knowledge of the product over many years, something a completely new person could never have.

He has knowledge of previous discussions (with whom we don't know) and also having had previous contact with other parties will be able to advise on who and how to approach.

I think that they will be in contact with a potential licensee through Dan and will be adapting the upcoming non-GLP and GLP lab work to suit the requirements of such a licensee, with a view to outlicensing prior to phase 1.

And JH move to be a consultant tied in with them changing the business model to be fully 'virtual' without the need for in-house lab work.

Agreed, he’s been brought back for the connections he previously made around NXP002.
Having 6% of the company and 37m warrants that expire this year certainly is an incentive to get it sorted.
Plus Dan brings the energy back into the room.

Generally it’s around about 2 years from application as far as I can tell.

Mars, I don’t know much about patent law to figure the ins and outs of what is the best approach. I was just figuring it best that they keep everything close to their chest as long as they can.

From the Lanstead Placing circular, it certainly seems they are waiting for the patents before approaching the originator.

Mars, the sensitivity is because of the patent application. As a rule you don't want anyone to know about it whilst the application is being dealt with, otherwise they may try to contest the application and get it blocked.

At least they have sorted the auditor situation.

Mars, in essence the MM's haven't budged all day, its just been someone with direct market access putting 100k shares on the ask and lowering.

Its better than a kick in the love spuds FX.

The million share buyer has found a more interesting pot of paint to watch.

Personally think they would be used on Ukraine rather than outside, Russia has been developing the tactic of 'escalate to de-escalate' as written about by Sir Richard Shirreff which would be involve battlefield nuclear weapons rather than the full on WW3 type.

Anyway, our DMA seller is still sitting on the ask at 1.1p today holding it down.
