Out of interest why did you decide to join this website only this week and have specifically targeted the Olaparib connection? Quite a niche subject to be aware of and to never have posted before, especially as we’ve been talking about it for a good six months.

The only difference between today and yesterday is that we know the name of the base drug for NXP004.
There has been no change to the financial status of the company as a result of today.

Thanks SSM, as you say it was primarily an educated guess. I reckoned it was probably a 10% chance of being right, pretty chuffed it came good for once.

Some bright spark on twitter is saying they've heard rumours about which drug NXP004 is based on!

In my opinion, it would be good for them to release an update across both NXP002 & 004 which piggybacks the sentiment gained today.

Earl, its not price sensitive, they've always told us NXP004 is based on a global blockbuster and that they filed a patent application, this is just the patent becoming public. We've known about it for 18 months.
The only difference today is that we can now see the drug on which NXP004 is based.

From the company perspective, they have to tread carefully and not upset their potential for a deal of some sort. They will be playing it carefully and not shouting about the houses as that might upset AstraZeneca who have their own agenda as much as we do.

Hale, they don't have a choice, it was always going to become public 18 months after the patent application, whether I posted it or not.
