Chab, its not so much that some of us are happy with whats happened and where we are at.
What I just don't get is those who keep saying 'the company is a dog with nobody to deliver value'... yet in the same post say they won't sell because they think it will go up soon. In the same vein as the 'its going to go down but I'm going to hold as its not worth selling'.... just weird mentality.

Its more that people are posting looking to blame everything else but themselves for their loss.

Yes even those who are bullish are ****ed off, as everyone here is underwater (there is nobody at all who can sell now at a higher price than they bought), but the reason I am here is the value at the end of the process, and we are not there yet.

At the end of the day its quite binary, either you believe the company has something worth more than the current £6m valuation or you do not and you position accordingly.

In summary, if they want it, they will get it, no matter what.

The key thing is evidence that a drug has value. I believe we will be reaching that point.

Also see Roche buying up Intermune to get Esbriet (which NXP002 outperforms) for $8.3bn back in 2014. Note that Esbriet was Phase 3 complete by that point, hence the massive value as it was pretty much straight to market within a year or two.

That was in a 'behind the scenes' bidding war with Sanofi for Intermune rather than stake building.

FX, thats a question we would all like to know the answer to, but there are a couple of points that come into play with it.

On NXP004, we know that it is based on a billion+ selling drug. NFX are keeping it under wraps and planning on approaching the originator. Hence, nobody has snapped it up, because nobody knows what it is yet.

For NXP002, the company has been busy working towards completion of the inhaler feasibility package, which is just pending the durability.
Whilst there was previous interest reported, its clear that NFX prime focus is to add value by completing the package before seeing if the interest is still there.

Both AB and AR are not the sort to jet around setting up meetings with pharma execs to try and hawk the products about. Thats why they are seeking a BD director.

Big companies don't just come along out of the blue and snap you up without going through a lot of work in advance.

B009, the market is always wrong, if it was correct then there would never be any opportunities to buy or sell anything.

The trick is spotting them and figuring out whether they are an actual opportunity or not.

From the end of this month, Lanstead will effectively be a 15% shareholder in NFX, and as I showed with the numbers yesterday they benefit a lot more from a higher sp than a lower one.

So I am confident that they have foresight of what is happening and will be vocal to the board about achieving an uplift in the sp. I doubt they will be a silent shareholder.

With that in mind, the first point of assesment is mid-March, with the valuation based on the average sp from the preceding 20 working days closing price. This means that the valuation kicks off mid February.

I would like to think that wheels would be turning by then.
