Lloyds have shown this week they are content to buy big at 62p and i feel an additional £500m buy back will be announced.

An opportunity to get out before Autumn to buy into a short term dip on the inevitable bad news,IMHO

I have to give Lloyds BOD credit for commencing the buy back.
The advice they must of taken would have probably suggested that banking shares in 2018 would be under valued which in February 2018 wasn't too clear when we felt rate rises were a given.
So Lloyds is getting more bang for it's buck while shareholders will have to wait for the tipping point on whatever % the company finally decides to buy back,but i cannot see it happening this year.

Re upsetting Trump,relations within American business community has soured with Trump since this tariff thing and a majority didn't vote for him so i would feel the outcome from an anti Trump protest would be positive for tourism/business.

This company is country silver but if the price is right so be it,however £2.65 cash and some dollar paper shares doesn't do it for me.

Brexit is about taking back control,however along with our industry,we lost control of our housing market.Home ownership now stands at 63.4%.We now have a North European lifestyle of renting which seems distant from the idea that an "Englishmans home is his castle"or Thatchers "property owning democracy"
Why have Brexiteers allowed this to happen?

Whatever we do higher levels of home ownership are good for Lloyds,the Conservatives who profess to be the party of property ownership and of course the 1st time buyers who want to settle down.Bizarrely home ownership now stands at a 30yr low and we need to get these 25yr-34yr olds on the housing ladder to get them into the mortgage habit

I agree the mixing of social housing within private housing estates has been a mistake when dealing with problem families and these few should have been housed correctly by the housing associations.

Generation rent can't afford a home.No way around it we need to bring housing costs down for this group otherwise the Tories will be losing people who would most likely vote for them.Until now the policy has been to give additional help with finance but this has led to house prices rising still further.
Why not fix the price at the affordable level say £150,000,give the incentive to the builder to build at a set price within a set time limit so for 100,000 homes give the builder £20,000 if they can complete the build and occupation within 12 months.OK, £2 billion cost sounds a lot but Gov would recover most of this in additional growth.The alternative council houses are built with 100% local/central government costs.
What to do with bubble London-It would have to be the exception a mix of above.
