I would say they adjust the PPI provision to control the share price so they can get the buy back away at an agreed price of 64p average.

There's money in banking but not for the owners,well not for this year.

Rob,tomorrow will be ok.Lloyds don't want this share price to run away.They only bought back 3.3m yesterday and today will probably be less.I like it when a share price goes nowhere the day before,limited expectations are sometimes good.

With RBS i'm getting twitchy,i feel i should do something.

I've scratched me head,no single magpies in the beech tree and have come to the conclusion it has to go UP tomorrow-but not a lot.Then the second wave interest rate move hopefully should push it to 64/65p short term IMHO

JMO,so your brexit taking back control means a reduction in numbers of EU immigrants and raising the minimum wage and as you say " If that means increasing prices then so be it. Do you believe we have a spare 3 million people in the UK work force?

Your Brexit differs from Rees Mogg who promises cheaper food but i do agree with your idea of reducing the gap between the rich and the poor without creating capital flight-prehaps tax land £20 an acre and add some more housing bands?
If we get the cash to the lower third we create instant demand but then we create greater demand for labour.At some point we need to improve productivity but a service economy is labour intensive.

There seems to be a different interpretation of taking back control.The government believe filling in the paperwork is taking back control as we do with non EU migration.Others feel an actual reduction means taking back control.
We cannot even agree on what taking back control means!

OK,so if the country needs 3 million EU workers to maintain growth and as long as they have the correct paperwork then you'll be happy for them to live and work here.Its control but no change.Is that what you want?

Without EU labour the UK would have been a poorer country.A million Brits and 3 million Europeans have enjoyed that freedom.I'm confused as to what you really want.

JMO,if its WTO no deal or a Canadian/Japan you want then you could have it tomorrow but its not very patriotic to trash your country's economy.You and me will be alright as we have made arrangements for such an event but others particularly the poor will suffer.

Eu are not ripping us off.We have a marginal mandate for change,they haven't.We want them to change their systems to accomodate for us.So all 27 countries should implement change for just one country and they get the blame for intransigence.

Took a walk through our larger adjacent town which has a high proportion of East Europeans.The assimulation is remarkable.Once you could spot the slim East European women from the Brits but they have all bulked out now and some have tattoos.The only time you can spot the difference is when they speak but i just imagine i'm on a free continental holiday!

What would help the lower paid is a reduction in the overall tax take from them.They pay 43% in tax while the rich only 36%,these were 2011/12 fig's which have deteriorated further with higher council tax.

Land tax works well in France and Canada and would easily make up the shortfall.The EU has questioned our regressive taxation of property.Prehaps another opportunity for Moggy to help the poor along with the oranges?.

Like Rees Mogg should do more research on what other common people spend their money on,because they don't spend it on oranges.Most JAMMER'S on £14,800 per annum probably spend 12x £600 on accomodation,12x £150,gas,electric,water,12x £200 car,12x £200 food,other groceries 12x £50.Thats £12,000 so far and i bet you could add a few more.
The bulk of those costs are controllable from within the UK so does he really wants to help the poor with cheap oranges?

Effectively you have a share price which is going nowhere and suites a share buy back at these depressed prices.No mention of a buy back yet within Lloyds expected results so i wonder if that will have an effect.So far the average buy back price is around 64p,so to keep face i think they will throw more effort to maintain this price prehaps a slightly enhanced divi and a buy back in excess of £500m.Can you imagine the flack the BOD would take if buying back in the 50p's!
50p's IMHO are only likely on Brexit shocks.
