Volatility / Value11 Jul 2023 12:23
The company m/cap as of now is c £88m, last week it fell to £58m and 3 months ago £194m, to say it’s volatile is an understatement !
I believe we all agree that as far as we know, all the assets are still in play and opportune they present is still intact so what has changed that has caused so much volatility when all the assets and upside are still in play ? Quite simply, the lack of operational progress on the deep and shallow prospects. PIs dictate the m/cap of this company, its valuation is dictated by PIs and has diddly squat to do with any fundamental value. Success is everything as yes it drives fundamental value but it drives sentiment and without it, this stock will bounce around at whatever price regardless of any value.
Clever traders will be popping in and out as the volatility is what they’re looking for and the TA players will be looking at last weeks bottom and thinking that it can go there again if there’s a likely news void for a couple of months. Fact is, it’s only relevant to the traders who are looking for quick wins and there has been some serious money made for those getting in at last weeks low and serious money lost for those being squeezed out. Trading will continue, especially in a volatile stock but currently it has nothing to do with fundamentals and this continues UNTIL Casper deliver more operational success.
So what’s next on the news front ? CC has highlighted the events but we are on the dark re real timings. The CE news is probably the only news that can catch people out, by that I mean those who have sold and moved on, the disappointed divi players that have exited, those waiting for better prices but we’re none the wiser as current deal could be dead or the final bits being sorted but as far as I’m aware, the cash should’ve hit the account or should be any day ?
Casper keep dragging defeat from the jaws of victory, it’s been a common theme and the only thing that’s stopped them from moving on to the goal of being a successful mid sized OE company. Success is everything, they still have the assets, there’s huge upside in play BUT Shin and his merry men need to start earning their wages and start delivering the long awaited success.
we’re not going under, we have a boat deal in the bag with future prospects for additional cash, we have working assets providing cash so the story goes on. The multi-bagging performance is still on and 802 is a big catalyst to that but in the short term, CE cash would really boost sentiment and the acceleration of the planned ops schedule.
