I do agree with you that in the context of the furious research and development going on in practically every medium to large pharma all looking at different aspects of the same field buy outs are going to be inevitable and frequent. Everyone will be interested in what everyone else is doing

I suppose also its a matter of expectations. If you had shares in a multibillion pharma progressing affimer technology you could expect a nice secure positive growing pensionwise investment but perhaps your days of multibag would be over. Those of us expecting a multibag here can have this hope due to the smallness of its market capital compared to its comparable peers (and I’m not talking about the other AIM testing stocks)

Try as I may to give you a good argument I have to concede that everything you have said is entirely valid/possible/true. Not much of a debater me eh?
So much depends on perspective tho'.
When i took my most of my money out of KIBO a month or two ago I had succeeded in transforming a fortune (for me) into a very small pot.
I have been using the lockdown when my wife thinks I'm working from home to regain my sharedealing mojo.
My pot has since more than doubled (tho' remaining relatively small).
And to show you how sadly addicted I became I still find myself considering my re-entry point.
My main message to anyone else in my boat.... it's never too late to diversify.

I can find nothing positive to say about the management of KIBO.
Don't be nasty about Wimbo tho'. He will be hurting like the rest of us and more than most.
I could say the directors have taken us right to the bottom so that they and their pals benefit from big news flow. But that's what I said in the Autumn.
I could point to the continued upbeat tone of the RNS messages but lc is beginning to sound like "comical ali"

Sandalaphone's first post made me do my umpteenth double take of the morning.
He or she referred to the fact that prior to the development of antibiotics (arguably the greatest achievement of modern medicine) there was really no effective treatment for bacterial infections.
Currently of course with vaccinations and anti virals etc being able to at least control some viruses you can't really draw much of an analogy between bacterial diseases then and viral diseases now (or can you).

Till now I have been one of those rare birds a Scottish Boris supporter.
However if he really has a coherent testing plan I've yet to see any evidence of it.
First the government desperately try to ramp up the testing capacity to 100000 folks each day by the end of April.
A headline figure the purpose of which was to make folks think they were doing something.
They failed in that.
As things stand we are still fed dodgy figures at the press conferences and seem far away from any coherent community testing strategy. Even the majority of care home residents remain untested according to a Professor from Bristol University on the independent Sage group.
The media have concentrated on PPE but while the situation in that respect has been bad every country in the world has faced similar problems.
However it would seem that for all the lipservice paid the government is only now waking up to the importance of testing and it seems to me that they are running round like headless chickens. If they have a plan on testing its a rubbish one.

Do you want to trade out and back tomorrow morning for an extra 50 shares or an extra 100. Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being as this is Avacta the most exciting share on AIM and an RNS tomorrow morning would blow your head right off you've got to ask yourself one question,"Do I feel lucky/"

That's a very sensible philosophy Shinfall. When you think about it everyone in the financial markets is trying to make money out of a limited financial pot. That includes us PI's. Funds, Market makers and many more. The more of the cake one group takes the less available for everyone else. So generally speaking taking on the MM's at their own game by continously and regularly trading for anything more than a bit of fun imo is a bit like gambling rather than investing and a mugs game.

For what its worth my view is that a reasonable proportion of you lot just like a reasonable proportion of the AvACTA board have cottoned on to the fact that the share drops in the morning and rises in the afternoon and trade accordingly.

Well done on your trade RK. And well done you for sharing the opposite side of the coin seethree. I'm in the middle. Yesterday afternoon I considered selling to buy back and didn't.
It's all good fun. Lots of us will be sitting thinking if the price rises into the afternoon as it often does shall I have a go at the old sell/buy back trick?

Yep the trend is our friend. Good luck to traders who try to add to their pot using daily fluctuations. The ones who do may come on and tell us so. The majority who don't won't.
