You don’t need me to tell you that investment history is littered with habitual faiures a la Churchill Archer etc who kept trying would not accept defeat and eventually came good?
You could argue that up till now LC has failed. I would submit there is plenty evidence that he is nevertheless a trier who will not accept defeat. He is not one of those AIM ceo’s who just sits on his ..rse and hopes for the best.
That makes him intriguing.
For many of us our substanyial investments have turned into meagre pots.
But no one is trapped here. There are plenty other stocks with good potential if KIBO is dead.
So what keeps us here moaning to each other?

are very hard to get and then keep. For newbies here don't let the Covid stocks give you a false sense of security. The AIM market has a tendency to bite you on the backside.
The key is research research research. I may add don't do as I have done and jump into stocks because of bulletin board hype become attached to their story and then close my mind to negatives to my detriment. At the moment each of the covid bulletin boards are filled with hype (including ours). Herd mentality reigns and a post which may attract 20 tick ups on one board will receive none on another. Many of us have more time on our hands than usual at the moment. If so use it wisely. Make sure you are invested because you believe in the company unless you are trading (which imo is best left to the well equipped and funded experts).
Just a little tip though. If you haven't researched AVCT YET imo you better get your skates on!

to answer your question direct don't worry about these two particular posts you are referring to.
They were intemperate posts made by a poster who seemed to feel for some reason that his investment was under attack and that attack is the best line of defence.
He was wrong on every substantive point he tried to make.
WHO haven't rolled back on their position.
Saliva based antigen tests are not in fact yet on the market.
I was going to answer with a thorough repudiation of his points then thought whats the point it wouldn't have been appreciated by the folks on that board.

iam rich. If you want to remain a fully functioning member of society you will imo require to eventually be taking multiple antigen tests. It won't be your choice Just listen to the medics at the daily US press conferences (ignore Trump)

Massive amounts of both types of tests will be needed imo as different nations try to exit from lockdowns and then cope afterwards.
For me the strength of antibody testing is so that as accurate a picture of proportion of population who have had it as possible is needed to inform and continue to inform policy on both a National and a local basis.
I agree also that there is significant individual interest (me for one) in seeing whether you have had the virus or not.
However even if my eventual antibody test tells me I have had it given the WHO pronouncements which are not disagreed with by government medics it wouldn't give me confidence that I definitely wouldn't get it again spread it to elderly friends and relatives contribute to a second wave etc.
And it certainly wouldn't give my doctor dentist aircraft crew church minister pub landlord (eventually) employer etc etc such confidence. Thats where antigen testing over and over again is going to be absolutely neccesary.
The government has imo been caught with its pants down but I think its now focussed and the health of the nation and the economy(inter related of course) are both too important for half measures going forward.

Very hard to predict where the economic cards are going to fall as the Coronavirus crisis continues but we can say for sure that peeps need power and always will need power and that the UK is soon going to likely need its own stocks replenished so that Med is arguably in the right place at the right time.
KIBO now at a value where the market agrees with JAX. A fire sale of its assets would produce imo significantly more than the market value of the company.
So it follows imo that LC only has to do something (...........anything) positive for the value to increase.

of the main testing stocks listed in the UK
1. NCYT Reliable test but invasive and lab required. First mover advantage but risks being superseded by less invasive complicated slow and possibly expensive tests. Unclear whether there is much intellectual property value?
2. GDR 1st test is still invasive and lab required. Less complicated at point of test. Still to be passed by regulator but likely to be. Expense unclear. Intellectual property of some value?
3.ODX (unlike the rest test for antibodies so not direct competitors) they have a contract to manufacture to proportion of Mologics tests unclear what the commercial value is. These tests don't however appear to conform to the Governments stringent standards for antibody tests. Will their Governmentally organised consortium come up with the goods here! If so will the Government have kept a tight reign on commercial rewards? Will the Government own the intellectual property in the test or will it be shared between the four consortees? Who or should that be WHO knows?
AVCT For simplicity will only deal with cytiva test Like everyone apart from NCYT regulator sanction still required. No invasiveness. No delay. Likely to be less expensive. Only one of the 4 to use saliva which it appears may boost reliability as a medium. Humungous value potentially to intellectual property.

That article makes a lot of sense. I have never spoken to anyone who has used NCYT's test. I suspect its not their tests which are the ones (or some of them) being sent out in the post by the government. I think it is the case that not only is the invasive swab testing neccesary ( like GDR) but (unlike GDR) the test needs other preparations carried out at point of sample over and above just providing the sample (which I suspect would mean that you would need a medic or at least someone who had been trained to help you at point of sample). That may be an advantage that GDR have over the NCYT test.
However of course then both the GDR and the NCYT tests have to be sent off to the lab.
We of course won't need the invasive swabs or the lab.

Am I right in thinking that the carrent assay for which the company are targeting a CE Mark is their swab test which requires subsequent lab input and that they are hoping to produce their point of care test later this year?
