Good articles posted by RD and TL but don't have the desired effect of debunking Ophidians comment.
He simply pointed out that none of the tech transfers he was involved in failed.
Which was fair comment.
The articles say that if not enough thought and skill is put into tech transfer or you don't choose the right partner there is a risk of failure. Seems to me we are likely to have covered both these bases.

Further to the above my uneducated speculation is that the reason why ODX seem to need MHRA sanction for the "at home" element of their antibody test is the fact that it involves you taking blood from yourself.

Will you allow me to share a few inexpert thoughts on last nights "debate"
In the presentation Q21 where it talks about further milestones re completion of the tests it sets forth for the LFD
Completing the technology transfer and starting production of the pilot batch
Clinical validation
CE marking for professional use and product launch
CE marking for self testing and product launch
The answer to Q26 tells us that full Clinical Validation will be carried out by AVCT with The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
The answer to Q49 tells us that clinical validation via LSTM/CONDOR is sufficient for CE marking for the UK and Europe but that for regulatory approval in the US further clinical validation is likely to be required.
There is no mention of MHRA approval being required for either the POC(with trained operative) or the self testing and indeed the confirmation in Q49 is that AVCT themselves will carry out the CE marking for both BAMS and LFD.
i suggest that rather than flinging insults we all take time to immerse ourselves in the Q & A and its implications.

Avct couldn't do more to communicate to its shareholders the width and breadth of our fantastic opportunities.
Their will be many many newspaper articles over the next few weeks.
Attempts to forensically disect them are meaningless.
The Q & A is available now to all journos who will no doubt be putting their own spin on it while in some cases confusing our tests with other tests and mixing and matching (and all the while not mentioning our company by name for reasons we know).
The corollary of this is of course that companies whos names re testing are plastered all over the media likely don't have NDA's with the government. They have already "arrived". As the government keeps emphasising the "Holy Grail" is nearly there.
Its all good because as far as antigen testing anticipation goes it will help to increase this to fever pitch.
In the meantime good luck to the other antigenees who are cashing in to a more limited extent.
The Q & A makes it all the easier to excercise serene patience.

Afternoons like this are interesting.
Looking at the posts (generally speaking) those posters who are regulars are posting views you would entirely expect them to post (whether negative positive or mischievous).
Not surprising because there has been no news really just the opportunity for all of us to get on our soapbox.
If you are upset by posters espousing the opposite view to you my suggestion is to try as best you can to discipline yourself not to read this board for a few days instead study the AVACTA website maybe find a richKen link filled post follow the links and make sure that your belief in your investment is not founded on the views of other numpty posters like you and I but on proper research

It actually seems to me that despite us numpty retail investors constituting the majority of the share register the price has been remarkably stable of late.
I didn't expect our foray up to 200 and back on no news and me being me wasn't able to take advantage of that but that as well as today just shows how frisky we are.
Seems to me good news is likely in the next week. If not another journey to 200 and back and this time next week anticipation at fever pitch.
If that happens I will not have taken advantage (yet again).
The reason is that I know that the time I sell at 200 to buy back will be the time we sail past that milestone and on to pastures new!
I am happy to allow AVACTA to do the business for me rather than rely on my own doubtful trading skills.

The MM's have played an absolute blinder here.
imo the big investors who know what they are doing (as opposed to us muppets) will be expecting good news soon and a rising share price into the close will prove it ------ Oh and in case the share price Gods are listening in that was NOT an official prediction!!!!!!

We know a lot more about our tests than you know about any of Mologics tests (even the one that failed to impress at Heathrow) Merchant Banker.
And as for the rtc tests can you really trust the 2 Ulster University Reports standing the fact that no one has ever disclosed the results of the one that deals with its suitability for home use and in respect of the one which purports to deal with the sensitivity of the test the methodology included binning a significant proportion of the tests.
It will be interesting to see what PHE makes of all that. No wonder the MHRA are dragging their heels.
And re the small Government order well they are ordering any old tat at the moment.
Despite all the above you at ODX will make lots of money like us at AVCT but don't come to us from your glass house and throw stones!

The answer may be that they are cutting corners O & W.
or that they know that their tests will sell notwithstanding that they are not top quality.
We have already discussed the limitations of the Lamp Test which isn't exactly ground breaking technology.

We know that sensitivity and specificity are a moveable feast depending on who is using them to promote their own test.
The government has had its fingers burnt re testing and appears to be restricting itself to more minor contracts with different testers to get it by until the tests it can really trust are revealed.
Have to say the above is imo because the government won't speak about it and Sir Al cant (but could he have given any clearer hints?)

But I am happy to pay the cost over the next few weeks if neccesary of having to be patient and seeing this and that test being purchased and promoted and this and that company having its day in the sun in order for job on the Holy Grail to be done right.
Basically huge rewards are in prospect.
Is the price of just a few weeks more patience really too much to bear?
