I see your reason re motives for Mologic tie up Matt.and there was a bit of a quid pro quo element in the RNS.
I would be surprised if AVCT need Mologic expertise for the combined test.
On the other hand the doors they can open....,,,

I think thats right be in the lead and also don't forget the saliva test which I suspect is a no no if you are going for the N protein
And I agree that the difference between Mologic and some of the other N proteiners may come down to integrity of reporting

I see they have found a new variant of Covid in Tanzania. It is the most mutated version yet with ten more mutations than are found on any other variant.
President Magafuli until his death two or three weeks ago (possibly of covid) was a covid denier.

You make statements that you don't really believe in order to provoke and encourage debate.
That's all very well but it can put off weaker investors.
I assume you are aware that according to Innovas site and given carefully chosen lab parameters their test comes out as 100% sensitivity and 99% specificity (obviously nonsense in the real world).
Headline figures mean very little unless as in AVCT's case we are given a detailed description of parameters used.

I tend to agree with oldtrader that the biggie trade could be a sell.
Even if it was its still promising for us.
It could have started being worked when we were around 270 and carried on being worked till Friday.

And I don't know whether many of us believe in "evil share trading geniuses" but without doubt there are dodgy shorter syndicates, rampy pump and dump clubs, bankers who bend and ignore the regulations and directors who defraud shareholders.
And that's ignoring the legal ways that the Big Boys can put one over on us with the wide powers of the MM's to build a pot and short shares, the way the big boys can get their brokers to deal with the (compliant cos they need the business) MM's on their behalf then hide purchases and sales ongoing for weeks and only report at the end. etc etc etc.
And when I ask my broker to purchase or sell shares then do the same transaction a minute later when the market hasn't moved they can't cos that would be "manipulating the market".
Moral of the story.
If you are investing (as opposed to trading) price movements alone are not a good reason to sell.

Interesting to see the ceo's of ODX NCYT and GDR taking pelters this morning.
We haven't been immune to such nonsense in the past.
I am not saying that sometimes criticism is not deserved.
Just that from a mushroom perspective whats the point in bellyaching.
imo the only decisions we should be analysing (and do this continually) are our own ones.
If our decision is wrong correct it by going elsewhere.
Do we think our particular CEO will magic up some new news because we are moaning?
Or improve their performance because we scream at them them to pull their socks up?
Do we honestly think (most of them) go out to mislead us?
The Big Boys in the market will always fleece us 'shrooms. Thus it ever was!
Of course now and again if we are clever we spot an opportunity to redress the balance

The most specification the shareholders get after testing 200 samples is that they are very good.

I am aware of your own "backstory" insofar as you have shared it.
When I used the words "With Respect" I meant them.
I see where you are going with your procurement law argument but these are strange times.
We may have to agree to differ.

With respect Regulator in my view you are incorrect.
The document does not say or infer that the triggering would apply to "all" suppliers.
Indeed if that were the intention you would expect that that would be made obvious by the language used.
It would not imo leave the government open to judicial review were they to decide that because of the particular nature of one test the usual protocols of Porton Down were not as applicable to that test and that another regime (as perhaps discussed between the DHSC and the company) would lead to the test being more "appropriately validated" to crib the words from a AVCT RNS.
If they could show such a decision was reasonable and not arbitrary they would succeed.
The above btw is in my opinion exactly what has happened.

How do you know the enabling clause hasn't been used in the context of dialogue between the Company and DHSC Regulator.
Bearing in mind an NDA still covers the process third parties would not be informed.
