I enjoy reading the chartists comments and predictions (even Wyn who is now off my personal "naughty step" again).
I am no good at charting myself (one day I will take the time to learn) but I get it that especially on AIM in general terms buy hold and hope is not a good idea.
I say in general terms cos once or twice every few years there may be a share that bucks the trend.
So with AVCT i have been practically all in for about a year and my portfolio has 3 bagged.
Had I been chart savvy you could argue I may have six bagged but on the other hand had I followed "sensible" investment rules like most investment fund managers I wouldn't have bagged at all.

Hi tecbadger.
You will know more than I do about ISO13485 compliance.
AVCT told us in November that they had made good progress in putting in an ISO13485 accredited system.
On 24TH Feb we were told that they had already passed the first audit by their notified body.
The final audit was due in March and results are awaited.
In the meantime however if for any reason there is a delay in the final audit procedure Mologic seem happy enough with the Quality Management system in place to have offered CE accreditation under their own procedures if necessary.
Apologies to all ODX'ers for this.

Re the CE Mark.
We may have it. AVCT already have better results than Mologic used to CE mark their own test. The previous RNS on the subject covers it without the need for another. Its a non issue. When we come to sell we will have it!
Re PHE validation (assuming AVCT decide to go with the government) this imo will be already in hand. You will recall we discussed this previously.

Among the lessons to be learned from the NCYT situation is imo the dangers of being too reliant on the government..

As you know yourself you can approach your queries from a myriad of standpoints.
In some ways the question whether or not the Holy Grail prospect is baked in is meaningless in so far as it assumes there is some logic involved in arriving at the current price.
Look at some of the comments on other boards re Avacta. Look as well at the uninformed comments of the "professional" tipster of the daily telegraph (see posts on here yesterday) who reckons folks should keep their punt money in here for now.

Anyway imo if you reckon 90% likelihood of a gamechanging lft RNS in the short term I will not seek to take issue with you.

Its possible (if unlikely) we will not be part of the big Government roll out. If we are they will be our partners not our clients.
Its impossible (or at any rate as lawyers say beyond reasonable doubt) that our test is not suitable for roll out
Its impossible that Innova will continue to be involved after current stocks are exhausted (they are Chinese/American)
Its impossible for Surescreen not to be involved. It is possible that they will be making their own test (from a Government perspective at least two suppliers makes sense) It is also possible they will (like Mologic) manufacture our test.
It is possible we will not get an RNS tomorrow.
In that event it is possible that the brains of approximately 50% of the contributors to this board will explode!!

Do you remember David Wilsons comments last summer in the "klaus" webcast about there being a trade off between sensitivity and specificity.
I never understood that.
Perhaps he was talking about the choice between which protein to target?
And maybe with ourexquisite specificity and pretty good sensitivity we will get Deeks purring.
