I was sure I had seen documentation to the effect that the final Clinical validation need not pass thro' Porton Down but I can't put my hands on it. Can anyone help?

If you study the latest Government requirements it is in fact not strictly necessary that the final Clinical Validation be carried out through Porton Down Regulator

Agree PL's logic on this point impeccable.
Mologic CE marked their own test last year and could have been manufacturing for the government themselves months ago if their test was good enough.

Your reference to the 4 week/48 week juxtaposition got me thinking (always dangerous).
Of course as we know the various reasons for the delay have been rehearsed many times on this board but I found myself mulling over just one of them.
Which is the identification and sourcing of appropriate cheap available and scalable materials both to create our test devices and to create the machines that make them (the latter I imagine in some store storehouse ready for shipping at the appropriate point by the government to ODX et al but I have little doubt that other such machines are also currently installed at GAD BBBB etc for AVCT's private contract work.
The CAPEX involved in the above preparatory work must be huge.
Who has paid for it?
The manufacturers the government AVCT or a combination of the above?
Can't be all AVCT surely unless they are bringing in far more from their JV's than most of us gave imagined?
We also now know that manufacturers at home and abroad are satisfactorily teed up.
All of which may give context to Als insistence that the test WILL be produced.
The above spending planning sourcing and infastructure and the fact that AVCT are concentrsting their not inconsiderable resources on the antigen test are testament to this.
We can imo look forward in the next couple of weeks to more tantalising pieces of the jigsaw being revealed before the big reveal.

These tickers are obviously not interested in the "facts" simply expressing their partisanship.
ODX board currently has its share of more objective posters leading to better debate there.
I suspect our Board is perceived as a bit of a challenge to deramp because of the way trolls are so effectively put to flight, Huzzah!!!

Al mentioning the Ablynx deal lent credibility to the relevance of Pauls excitable rantings about takeover deals and huge valuations.
Simple question
Has there EVER been a company with a disruptive platform of AVCT's potential and involving such a threat/opportunity to the big boys but who don't have to accede to the first takeover offer to make that potential reality.
They can't not in the current climate be eying up our little company surely.
And at the first rumoured interest...….. well need I go on!
