Also there aren't as many as it looks. There is at least one on here with more than one account. They appear to recommend each others posts and respond supporting each other. It is very hard to disguise ones writing style.

Report them when you can. There was a post that was was highly liable last night. Swearing gets bans etc. It works. They do come back under other user names but it's irritating to them because new accounts are more obvious.

As a non exec director Sue Hagan will provide advice, review proposals, make recommendations etc etc etc. All positive. Paraytec doesn't need a new COO so they haven't got one. This is about steering. Footsie 100 companies have non exec directors too and consider them very important. They have huge influence and when they ask questions they get answered.

Sue Hagan's appointment is good news. No doubt about it. Not blowing the doors off news on the day it dropped but constructive. It demonstrates professionalism from the company and intent.

Jez2- your definition of ‘far left’ is clearly very different to mine. Like the majority of scientists and those in the medical profession he does have a cynical view of government but ‘far left’? I think this is bias from yourself.

If your shares are in an ISA or SIPP then you will not pay tax on the divi no matter how special it is :). If it isn’t then ask HMRC.

This board will not always deliver the truth. The EUA board does have some amazing posters though.

One thing I would suggest. Whichever share platform you use check your income settings. You can usually choose to have income (in this case the dividend) reinvested, paid in your capital account (cash amount within your share dealing account) or paid directly to another bank account. Think carefully which of these options works best for you. For example I made sure today that I have mine set to pay into my capital account within my ISA as for me I don’t want to reinvest the funds into more EUA shares.

Well the highest the SP has ever been is about 42p so a £1 divi would be more than 2.5 bags for all shareholders. That’s not bad!

I see your point though. I do wonder what will be left of the company and what the share price will be once it has sold substantively all of it assets.

If the Divi is less than 100% the current SP there is a risk of shareholders ending up down on the ex div date. I think this is why the SP hasn’t gone up since the RNS as the SP could go very low indeed.

My view is the residual company will pursue new opportunities and in any case the divi will be more than 42p. But who knows?

I'm not sure that the current available tests are 'cr@p' but they are not going to be as good as the next generation of tests. They are what we have now and it's better than no tests.

All of the test companies will be trying to develop new technology. Paraytec could well be a serious contender.

There is nothing wrong with improving the existing set of 1st generation tests so I hope the BA testing regime works!

However Paraytec is a 2nd generation test. Far more accurate. More adaptable. BA nor anyone else will stick to the 1st generation of tests when better solutions are available.

The market does not think this is true otherwise the SP would be £1.00 + more or less immediately.

If that were true wouldn't the share price re rate to £1 to £1.20 more or less immediately?

Fantastic RNS last night for 2 reasons. Finally know what is happening and confirms there either will be a significant dividend or nothing at all (Of course we expect there will). Progress.

I'm thinking the SP doesn't matter right now. Until we know how much and when there isn't much to do but wait? I'm sure that some will try to trade it but after all most of us are here for 'that moment'?

It's almost too quiet. Apart from the sound of carnage in the wider market. A day to miss I think.

Just been having a video conference at work all about what happens when we return to the office. Noise is that everyone going to the office will need to be tested. Can anyone think of a test that would accommodate fast access to the office rather than waiting around the corner for an LFT to show the results?

Unfortunately there are more people in the world with COVID right now than ever before so I don't think it's time to suggest there isn't a need for COVID tests and treatments somehow.....
