Must admit some regret that I was not at my desk for the first 30 mins of trading today - I may well have bought a few more at the 20% discount the mms were offering!

This RNS was not good news for traders but for investors it only contained positive signs. The drilling is clearly not straight forward so seems business as usual to have to adapt as they go.

I have a very small amount here, considering the risk, and am still kicking myself for taking my initial investment out a few weeks after HE1 was formed thinking 10% was a OK. I'll probably leave what I have now for a few years and see what happens.

Steve58 - I think it means low prospectivity at this depth at this location. So there are ga shows at shallower depths in geology where they were not expecting to see it.

I have not seem and cannot find any evidence that taking the covid vaccine can weaken the immune system. It does the exact opposite of that with reference to COVID-19 by design.

Agreed. Need vaccine + masks + sensible precautions. Also need therapeutics and I can think of one in particular that will save lives……

Antofelli. Completely agree. I will still be wearing a mask and taking basic precautions regardless of the governments apparent disregard for these things. Largely because it’s so easy to do so and also because it’s the only way we can as individuals do something to protect the particularly vulnerable and those who have chosen not to get vaccinated or can’t get vaccinated.

So you see the problem here. As soon as you try to have a conversation about how to manage covid you have to include the vaccine and then inevitably you see people use phrases like ‘pro vax’ / ‘anti vax’. I use the latter myself.

There is pro data and science and then there is either understanding that or not and then in some cases deliberately deciding not to believe it no matter what it tells us.

Antofelli - your Twitter share below shows numbers of people dying of the delta variant with a breakdown of vaccinated or not. I can understand how it demonstrates that the vaccinations are working and yet …..

What’s is it you are worried about in those numbers? I can see that a lack of understanding the data has led some think it shows it’s not working. They have not understood what is being shown.

As for the poll. I am double vaxxed so hope to either not catch covid or if I do to not get seriously ill. I accepts it is still possible to get sick so if I did I would ask to be pet of the SNG trial if I met the criteria.

Wow. This thread took a very dark turn into anti vax, conspiracy theory and woo science today!!

Vaccine adverse events is just standard for vaccine side effects. you can read the list of likely known side effects listed on the leaflet you get when you get the vaccine. It's unfortunate but entirely expected and not hidden. They have them for aspirin too by the way.

The number of attributable deaths as a result of taking the vaccine is miniscule compared to the risk of being killed as a result of becoming infected. Some of you need to stop scaring others. It's irresponsible and is ACTUALLY killing people right now.

Get vaccinated for the sake of yourself and everyone else you come into contact with.

abrooking. Very true but in general people have stopped wearing them and from 16th July they don't have to anyway, which considering wearing a mask it very easy to do is just bonkers.

There is no good reason to stop people wearing masks. Just populism. I'll still be wearing mine. It's madness!

Important to understand that the covid vaccinations are not a cure for covid. By getting the body's immune system more ready for a covid infection they reduce the likelihood of the virus causing an illness and reduce the likelihood of severe illness. They may also reduce transmission but they do not stop the recipient becoming infected. You can have it and not feel any symptoms at all.

It's all a numbers game. Previously you were unlucky to get very serious ill and now if fully vaccinated and you get seriously ill you are even more unlucky.

I'm seeing and hearing more cases with work colleagues and people I know than at any previous time in the pandemic but less seriously ill. I fear for anyone who is not vaccinated.

cody53 - The term used was 'significant'. Clearly 'significant' could be any large number. It doesn't suggest that the number has been agreed or that it isn't secret with respect to the ongoing negotiations.

They can't tell us how much until there is a binding offer. Imagine if they told us 'oh it might be about this much...' completely outside of the terms of any serious negotiation to do that unless they want to really upset this single serious party.
