The amount of due diligence that is required to get to a binding offer on a deal like this is staggering. Imagine the checks and balances required for assets that are lying in the ground. Imagine sitting around a table and discussing how much those assets are worth. Imagine discussing the geological surveys and the buyer suggesting they want to see more evidence. etc etc.

We could be talking £billions! It won't be quick.

I suppose you could also say that the time is now. Precious metal prices so high. A potential buyer will want to get a move on? Perhaps.

Swings and roundabouts but certainly not just weeks and very difficult to predict exact timescales. I think with this type of investment, if you bring impatience to it, then it's going to be stressful.

Having said that it could come any day because we don't know when the negotiations on this deal started.

One thing is for sure. The board are not required to give us news just to fill the time and make it more interesting whilst we wait. Having said that I think they will provide some sort of update if this goes on for very much longer - but don't expect it to make us feel better as that type of update tends to upset investors as they can't reveal anything concrete until the deal is done. I suppose it would be helpful to know it is still likely to happen at some point.

You cite pneumonia as an example. This isn't appropriate. Pneumonia is an outcome with other causes rather than a global pandemic - people don't catch pneumonia from other people just as you can't catch 'death by natural causes'. Saying other stuff can kill you just as much as covid makes you sound like one of the anti science crew that currently litter social media.

Prof Carl Smith who is leading on the Paraytec product developments that we are invested in here spends a huge amount of time fighting off similar views on social media that are not guided by science or fact. Maybe you should try telling him that it's over hyped...

Considering what BRH has in it's portfolio this is rather strange board to come to to tell us that covid is 'over hyped'.

Marmite - I think you are spot on. I would expect that the perception of TB and his performance from the Boards perspective is very different to that of some of the PIs on here. He’ll get rewarded regularly if BRH is doing well and for that you have to look beyond what the daily/weekly/monthly shenanigans of the share price look like. Objectively BRH has had a very good year indeed. He may feel quite entitled to sell his shares.

I’m not defending him as we can’t know for sure what his reasons are. But there are more ways for him to make more out of BRH and I won’t care if I make some with him. If it turns out that he’s selling out and nothing comes of the company (and in those circumstances I might be prepared to wait a very long time considering the mid cap could go a lot higher if they were selling practically anything that Paraytec has in the pipeline) I’ll take that risk on the chin from him just this once.

.....is a common forum trope that is absolute sh{}t. Have not once seen any actual SP movement coming from any of that on any share.

Ksp747 - If the last 2 RNS's were designed to hike the SP....... do you not think they could have found better information to include. I mean those RNS's are actually a bit understated,,,, if anything.

Salvadori. following your logic. If this SP does at some point reach £2 I assume you will be happy to apologise to everyone you felt compelled to sell or not invest in BRH. You see that is why providing financial advice is regulated - you are not allowed to provide it unless you can show objectively an argument for a range of potential outcomes. You don't know and you have a heavy bias in your opinion. No objectivity whatsoever.

Salvadori. It is not at all clear that the SP dropped due to Trevor Brown selling. It isn't what happened as far as I observed. The main reason for the drop was that there was a great deal of speculative interest in the Paraytec Test and then an RNS that didnt feed that speculation (i.e. told investors there would be a wait). Please do tell us about your research though.

The previous spikes provide important data to investors. They provide information that can help understand the risk/reward profile for a share. If the product reaches market it may well rise to those levels.

It just became very obvious that Salvadori, Jez2 and prolee are the same person.

Why did this person and others think this was a good strategy??? Lesson one of AIM investing - the LSE boards are often not a good source of guidance on what to buy when - I hope that as well as posting here about how this is everyone elses fault that you also told them not to do that ever again!!

I think Salvadori, Jez2, prolee etc. got spiked on RMS. Nothing more to it/ They are bitter about it. Blame Trevor Brown.

Other investors take this stuff on the chin and blame themselves for investment decisions. Take some ownership and understand risk, diversify and learn.

Trrime. Like you I thought maybe he is upping his investment in that company. First thing I did this morning was look what's happening over there. Nothing to see so far. Like I said - I find the man interesting. No way is he retiring - he is making his money work.

I don't panic when I see this stuff change. Always reflect on news and consider your options. The idea that I would go on a forum and throw my bitter views around is beyond my comprehension. There is a lot more to BRH than Trevor Brown. Nothing changes for me with this latest round of selling.

Honestly I would prefer the CEO wasn't selling his shares but he is of a type and you become accustomed to his mode of operation. I'm wondering whether he is investing the money somewhere else. Find him quite interesting.

Well whatever his reasons are it doesn't seem to have had any impact on the SP.

Lets at least wait until a few hours of trading have passed before casting any judgement on what the SP is doing. Still going to pop up on even the slightest bit of news or speculation.

You need to go into your HO account and make a deliberate decision on whether you want the dividend paid into your account as a cash lump sum or if you want to reinvest into buying more EUA funds.

IMPORTANT your account might be defaulted to reinvest. Be sure you decide what you want to do before the divi is paid. Reinvesting in more shares is fine if you are prepared to accept the risk that the SP can rise or fall after the divi is paid…..
