Legalwolf. No. They will try to raise funds when the SP is higher. Therefore the impact on the mid cap/SP will be less than people are clearly worrying about.

However - they will not try to fund the next project before this drill is completed. What happens for the next investment cycle after this should it not work out isn't something I'm focussed on.

I suddenly feel emotionally invested in No1plasterer's buy order.

Either they can't find that number of shares for you or you have requested them at too low a price? Or both?

They are not worried about funding. It is a message used to cause fear and encourage us to sell.

Happens on all AIM message boards.

Why do people think companies float on AIM? It is to allow them to raise funds to invest in the companies objectives. No funding = no company so if you are against that then you better sell up now.

If the company needs to raise funds at or below the current SP it will be because the drill failed. So why stay invested?

If they raise funds during a SP spike before results what do you think that would be for and how much (as a % of the market cap) do you think that would be? Will it be be very material if its to drill another hole for appraisal or whatever for the current project. Do you think the Nomad would allow them to raise funds for something else entirely ahead of results?

THINK. The only thing any of us should be focussed on is the next drill.

KevinRound. That's what I was thinking. Quite a pain to not be able to see these trades go through in real time but we see the signs.

Still think our seller is also buying and working the SP hard. We could call it manipulation but ultimately if you have a few million of these shares the conditions have been perfect to sell in bulk and then hoover them back up for less as the SP falls and is compounded by retail investors running to the hills.

Having said that I think the day is coming when this explodes back through 10p ahead of spud.

We will likely never know what on earth has been going on with 'the seller' over the last week or so.

However. We are now moving into the zone.... I think our spud will be around 18th September but the chances of an early spud now start to become possible and increase daily.

Please explain for what the purpose the 'company is waiting for this to bottom out....'???

Daven66. Minimal cost to drill an appraisal well. Most of the cost would be for the crew. Not saying it isn't going to cost anything but it isn't going to be material considering we own the rig.

HE1 quite right to say they will fund raise but would be nuts/impossible to declare on what basis and how much considering they cannot possibly know that until they have completed the drill!!!!

I think people also need to realise that when they do raise funds after this next drill the amount required compared to the market cap will not be very much........ unless it's a total duster..... so you are worried about not a lot.

It's amazing how academic all of this is compared to the actual interesting part which is the the outcome of this drill.

Well it would be against regulatory rules to hold back news because of what is happening on the stock exchange. That would be illegal.

Would not be even slightly surprised to see this very quickly go up through 10p without much warning...... then go back to 7s again and then go up to 10p again about 7 or 25 times before spud.

What I mean is I have no idea but it's fun trying to follow.

If I had a lot of 5p shares from the fund raise I could have sold those having heard that the spud date wouldn't be until second half of September and take the chance that I could buy them back again for less. That might explain it as I would certainly be prepared to take bigger risks in those circumstances. As I suggested earlier, trading through period of time doesn't mean coming out of that period with no shares. I see buying and selling very much working the SP for marginal gains since the RNS.

I may very well be wrong and I suggested on the other thread that it doesnt seem to be working so well for our trader today.... however considering the volume apart from those trades has been quite low for most of the day the SP would have been adjusted up by the mm's if they had had to buy that many shares - there just isn't the liquidity today for that kind of buying action not to force the sp upwards. So I still think they are sells.

As here has been discussion on trading. I may well be completely wrong on this. I still would not be surprised to see an RNS saying that Ian Stalker or someone else has sold a chunk of shares. However if someone is working this for marginal profit it doesn't mean they are reducing a position. They could well be working hour by hour whilst maintaining a large position and come out of this trading period with a still very large position. Personally I think it would be very hard to actively buy and sell like this and come out with a profit at the end but then it really is not for me.

Pattern is sell chunk and the SP falls. Then buy them back for less but in small batches so it doesn't take the SP up. meanwhile there is panic and other holders sell to maintain the direction down. It isn't working so well today but previous days I think they may have done OK.

They are sells. It's been the same pattern all week, I was hopeful this had stopped this morning but looks like the late reported large trades have popped up again.

On a trade by trade basis it's been harder to tell if they are buys or sells today as the spread has been tight. However as there have now been a number of them and the SP is down they really do have to be sells I'm afraid.

It really does look like a single entity/trader is behind this. I noted earlier today that volume in general/including the buys is up whilst this is happening and when it stops the buying slows down too. Draw you own conclusions but I think someone is working this SP very hard for marginal profit.

No partnership with Noble please. Just adds complexity and who wants to share the wealth? Healthy competition by all means but anything else just makes our story harder to tell as has been very apparent on the failed drill cooperation.
