Maylands. This is AIM. SP is always volatile especially between news events. It does necessarily mean there is a problem with the target outcome.

Also on fund raising. This is the reason that these companies float on AIM. Without the access to fund raising these companies could not exist. period. So if we don't like AIM companies raising funds and diluting the SP then we shouldn't invest in it. Your hope is that they deliver business growth during the current investment cycle or you take your chances trading the ins and outs of the sp.

There is more context than that. Selling big chunks during low volume will reduce the SP so that you can then buy back in and reduce your average. It's risk to do for most of us but in the context of very low buyer volume after the recent presentation this is what someone with a big position has done. The bigger your position the easier it is to do this. IMHO.

So the seller could probably have the same number of shares they started with but at a lower price. If this is what happened (and I don't see a better hypothesis that fits the evidence after watching the trades and SP over the last week) then this 'seller' has every intention of being around when the SP goes up again.

BloodyRedBarron. Mining exploration companies raise funds after a failed project all of the time. They would work up the next prospect and raise for that. Just not true that they won't be able to raise funds if this project doesn't succeed. Personally I'm not concerned with what happens after this project but hey ho.

Cybertron. Actually some late reported larger buys today. Bot seeing the selling though I would predict we won't see some late reported sells later today. Tide may be turning though.

Maylands. Not sure who taught you but experience suggests that that is not true in the real world.

I think 'shorting' is the answer but I put that in inverted commas because I can't see any actual shorts being logged. I'm no expert so I don't know if shorts happen and it's not that clear or visible.

However if you think of what shorting is. Selling and then buying back at a lower price..... you could do that on this share since the investor presentation without opening a short as such.

So sell chunk and buy them back at a lower SP looks like very profitable approach since then if you assume that our trader wants to accumulate more shares for the same cost and average down by churning the stock. Obviously nobody can no for sure but it does fit the trading pattern and the walk down of the SP. Ironically this would suggest a lot of confidence in the run up to spud because that trader has increased profit potential rather than reduced it.

Don't think the nitrogen is of value in itself. But it is easy to process to pure helium from that mix.

About 4 days left to short this stock. Getting riskier. Long lead items are the last piece of the jigsaw before spud and the last RNS confirmed they will arrive on site next any time next week (second week in September).

Objectively all this fun and games ends when they RNS that.

Yep any potential raise is going to be like 5% and wouldn't make any difference. They won't do it before drill and never intended to but part of me now wishes they would because then everyone can do the math and realise they were worried about nothing whatsoever in the scheme of things.

Lot's of shorting and that type of stuff going on. Unfortunately the mix of a significant event coupled with the certainty that there are still dependencies to hit before that big event can start is a toxic mix from a shorting and selling/churn pattern perspective. It's the classic SP falling on good news scenario in AIM. They know there will be no spud until second half September so they can play with the messaging and negativity with the usual tall tales until then.

Worrying about nothing. We are talking 5% dilution at most to add investment funds for the current project. remember the drill is fully funded and they own the rig.

They won't raise before the drill but if they did this shorting would stop and the sp would be back above 10p in no time.

Just huge narrative being pushed by the shorters and the get in cheaper brigade that a raise is coming now. If you are worried about a raise now and less concerned about the prospects of the next drill you have your focus in the wrong place.

FWIW it really doesnt matter. I got more shares today. This share is today more derisked than it has ever been and my average is lower than it has ever been.

Why no director deals? Maybe closed period, maybe the NOMAD won't let them, maybe personal circumstances don't allow it. Maybe they have incentives in another way. Honestly it's often not worth the directors bother trying to work around the insider trading rules.

Would be nice to see director buys but honestly v the potential to short and trade down this share during this period it wouldn't make any difference.

If you are worried you should look at the historical chart, not because I want you to think it's going to go back over 20p for spud (nobody knows what will happen) but because it is hardly the first time the SP has fallen this low and it would hardly be the first time it recovered back above 10p either. It's really not worth you being so concerned right now unless you need the money back tomorrow.

The trading patterns of the last week are possible because there is low buyer volume. The low buyer volume is because the spud was put back a few weeks and the investor presentation made it clear that there was no chance of that happening until second half of September. When we get closer to spud the shorters will not dare try - too risky.

No. But these things leave footprints. The fact that the SP fell 5% in the last hour or so of trading yesterday tells you it was a sell.

But can't prove it. It doesnt mean it wasn't a very very clever discounted buy that the buyer and the mm worked on all day long..... but it's a bit far fetched.
