The UK grew +4% YoY in Q2 2022 (Boris) and is on track for 2-3% YoY positive growth in Q3 2022 (Truss).

What happens in Q4 2022 and FY 2023 is now anyone's guess. We're facing a tsunami of new tax and relentless hysteria from the blob of defeatism and decline. The mood music has changed.

Not sure I'd be buying LLOY shares at this point.

Rishi may run a blue party, but his actions are redder than red. Taxes and state waste soared out of control under his Chancellorship. Rees-Mogg calls him a "socialist". His (needlessly) scary PM talk today of "crisis" and "difficult decisions" is clearly laying the groundwork for yet more tax in 2023. Higher wage taxes, higher corporate taxes, higher windfall taxes of banks or oilers. Buying LLOY is very risky right now. We are about to be taxed and talked into recession.

The UK economy is growing at 3-4%.
It has the fastest-growing economy in the whole G7.
The second-lowest debt in the entire G7.
Unemployment is near-zero.
Wages are growing.
House prices are strong.

Stop pandering to the propaganda. The UK is not in economic trouble, at all.

Some folks live in dreamland! Tesco has been thru 2 major recessions in 15 years and the share price has plunged a staggering -65% in that timeframe. There is nothing "defensive" about Tesco whatsoever.

As predicted, HFEL plunging (intraday) below the 250p level. The lowest mark since 2009. Happened very fast, which is a further bearish sign. China tech worries are dragging down Asia sentiment. The next level to test is around 238-240p.

Fact is, the UK is the world's fastest-growing economy in the G7, just about the lowest debt, and near-zero unemployment. The UK's credit line is doing just fine.

Don't get too carried away. Interest rates (swaps) for ~2025 have already started to fall. The 2022 spike in savings rates may be shortlived. Dyor, etc.

A takeover is probably the best option for Tesco. It just doesn't seem to have the skills to beat the bigger or more efficient rivals from Germany and America. Sell up to maybe Aldi or Suning, perhaps Amazon.

The CGNR share price has plunged an astonishing -60% since the start of the year, and an incredible -99.9% since the start of the century, recent gold grades are low, comms are poor.A heck of a lot of red flags here.

The OBR must be closed down. One of the most inept financial institutions in the entire world. Constantly getting its forecasts wildly wrong, relentlessly talking down the country's future, and bizarrely over-pessimistic about the outlook in almost every report. The culture at the OBR is one of self-inflicted misery and unfounded hysteria. Year after year. Time to close it down.

The Tories just keep on winning -- over and over again, year after year, decade after decade. That obviously drives a lot of people mad!

Nothing "rosy" about it. They are confirmed economic facts.

This hysteria is political and emotional (not economic) -- driven by people who have lost every major vote and referendum to the Tories in the past decade and a half. A lot of sore losers out there. The Tories kept on winning even yesterday, when they beat Labour on a big fracking vote!

The next UK PM inherits the world's strongest G7 major economy, just about the lowest debt in the G7, pretty much full employment, very strong wages and house prices, falling wholesale inflation, record EU exports, an intelligence superpower that is performing the 2nd most important role in Ukraine, and a recent royal TV event that was watched by 4 billion people on Earth, making it the world's most popular event ever in mankind's history.

When one separates the economic facts from the political hysteria -- contrived by people who have lost a lot of elections and referendums to the Tories and have an axe to grind -- you see a pretty good UKpicture.

Being UK PM right now is a pretty good job to have.
