If Truss steps aside for a rest, the Tories should give Rees-Mogg a go as PM. He talks a lot of sense, delivered a good conference speech this week, and has a character strong enough to weather the relentless communist hysteria that we now see in almost every major UK media outlet.

Not sure a +9% pre-tax dividend makes up for the -31% plunge in the share price in the past 3 years.

P&O is obvs trying to bring the international "cruise ship" model to local UK ferries. Reduce wage costs and increase staffing flexibility. One can see what they are trying to achieve.

Surprised, tho, that so many staff (99%) took the deal. The average payout was only about ~£45k per person, before taxes and NI. That's barely enough to buy a new electric family car, these days. It won't last long.

Not sure why the Tories would reverse the mini-budget. There is nothing wrong with it. Start to give the people their money back. Reverse the creep of Marxist taxation. Germany has just announced a near-identical energy budget. The US announced a few weeks ago a near-identical tax giveaway, but 10-15 times bigger. The UK is not in recession. The US has spent most of the year in recession. The UK has among the lowest levels of state debt in the entire G7. The UK tax budget adds only a tiny 1-2% extra to state debt, at most. The mini-budget is fine.

Truss's tax budget only adds a tiny 1-2% extra to UK state debt. It may even be debt-reducing if it nudges the rich to spend or invest more.

The pound today is now higher than it was at the time of Kwarteng's budget. The pound is trending higher against all major G10 currencies.

This week has shown staggering levels of sheep-like behaviour, rattling off the propaganda and hysteria they read in the Mirror or Morning Star.

Charts now looking ultra-bearish here. HFEL has slumped almost -10% in a week or so. This may get under the 250p level quicker even than I'd imagined! Hong Kong stockmarket is now at an 11-year low, China protest violence ramping up the fear factor, and war in Taiwan always lurking in the background. So many red flags.

Well, the trend is not your friend.

The MNG share price has plunged a huge -40% in just a couple years. The FTSE100 is only down about -10%. The UK mortgage, gilt and pension industries today are currently teetering on the brink of collapse. A recession is looming, inflation is out of control, the ruling Tory party is like a doomsday cult, and the pound is in freefall.

Charts, macros and trends are all pointing down (not up).

Folks have been talking this share up on here for years... And it just keeps on going down and down.

EZJ is now back to the same share price from a quarter-century ago.

And the headwinds keep on coming. Covid has not gone away, winter is coming, recession is coming, inflation is out of control, the price of debt is going thru the roof, the green fanatics want ever more taxes and bureaucracy, while the firm's main EU market is rolling out restrictive visas and bio-surveillance in the next few quarters. So many red flags here.

The clifftop plunge below 100p, after a bad analyst call, to an all-time low, is an ultra-bearish sign here. The share price is in freefall. Bad sentiment is piling on top of bad news. SAGA may see 50p sooner than many think.

People (and markets) are working themselves into a frenzy about a modest policy tweak. It's hysteria to the max.

Reagan popularized trickle-down. He cut taxes from the top-down. US tax revenues went up (not down) and doubled during his tenure of the 1980s and beat communism at the same time. Iron Liz can do the same. Reignite UK growth, and stop the creep of Marxist taxation. Give the people their own money back, to spend on their families how they choose.

Currently, 51% of bets are being placed on the Tories for the 2024 election, and 49% for Labour. The Tories remain ahead. Inflation, recession and interest rates will peak in 2023, fall sharply by 2024, leaving Truss in a perfect spot to win again by 2025. Today's short-term hysteria will not last forever.

The charts look very bearish here right now. Looks like MNG is ready to test the 125-150p range.

As predicted -- two years ago -- the EZJ share price continues to slide toward the £1-3 range. Anybody who bought in at the £10-15 range here will almost certainly never get their money back. Covid, Brexit, green hysteria, and the fading UK economy mean the golden era of budget flight travel is all but over.

As predicted, the TSCO share price continues to slide. Momentum here is very bearish. The UK grocery and retail industries are drawing to a close, overtaken by more-efficient German and American brands (like Aldi).

The TSCO share price is now back to 1997 levels -- last seen in the previous century!

Any close below the 200p level here will be a further bearish sign, and would point to the 150-175p range as a next stop.

Interestingly, more bets with bookies are still being placed on the Tories (than Labour) to win the next UK election in 2024-25. Iron Liz still has 2+ years to keep out the reds.

As the old saying goes -- humans prefer to be wrong with the herd than right with the minority.

To repeat, once again -- Truss's tax package is only adding a tiny 1-2% to UK state debt.

Truss's package may (in the end) even be debt-reducing -- if the fairer 40% tax rate attracts billionaires and millionaires to spend more than expected.
