Now that the SML is recommended and goes to Cabinet the Mining Commission must have satisfied themselves that funding is in place / or proven as part of their criteria for making such a recommendation. Final approval within a few days to a couple of weeks?

New legislation and changes in Tanzania bedding down as Mining Commission starts to work through mining / prospecting licences. KIBO's SML application set to recommended to grant.

Its taken until 08.02 must be lying in.
We all know there could be an impact to timescales from the last RNS, nothing new. We now know that the request has gone into TANESCO to confirm any impact as per last RNS. Strange they cant just confirm in a phone call?

Might be seeing some movement on mining licences soon as per the KIBO board

I dont agree that a delay to the SEPCO buy in is a death knell. Yes sure it may prompt one or two to sell at that point but there agin again it could happen any after the timeframe indicated. Given we don't yet have the SML / PPA then many may assume its not going to happen in that timeframe anyway.

As with all these things we shall have to see.

Xerxes I don't believe many have cut and run. Some may have left yes. Some may have reduced their holdings, some like myself have transferred some into a SIPP. Some have added more (again my holding is as large as it has ever been).... whatever people people feel comfortable doing. I know a few are just fed up posting here and chose to discuss it eslewhere (including advfn believe it or not) esp after YAKI's ludicrous ban and Wimbos decision to leave.

I just have too much time on my hands and post everywhere and not because I'm paid to (although it would be nice) but because I'm on a career break and have a lot of time on my hands. That ends in a few weeks so will be posting a lot less and may not be able to post at all (some financial services companies have strict policies on social media / share trading and bulletin boards)

Most if not all are frustrated and want some clarity on MCPP and a way forward. This needs to come from the TG and to us via LC.

Perhaps you should look at it this way ... if nothing has been achieved then nothing is priced in and its all upside from here. Now that should make you happy.

As for not making progress go back and look at the website and last 12-18 months RNS and see what has been done and what is underway.

I agree we do need an explanation from the company (via the TG) on where we are with MCPP.

However, with three projects underway we should be entering a news rich period. We shall see.

If your definition of achievement is income generation then you are going to be saying we have achieved nothing right up to the point the MCPP is witched on and producing energy.

Fair point mizman and likewise, all those that were criticising LC / KIBO for diversifying, might now want to reconsider. Whilst I still have every confidence that the MCPP will go ahead I feel a lot better knowing that we already have other projects to fall back on or to overtake MCPP.

Sorry swifty we are going to have to disagree. Nothing achieved is not a fact. Its a statement. Yes we have yet to conclude or sign a single binding agreement with the respective Moz / Bots / Tanz govts to build a power station. thats a fact. However, we have a MOU / EISA and agreements with GE / SEPCO to name a few facts.

Correct swifty so I suspect all that aren't positing have sold up and moved elsewhere now perhaps they are the sensible ones and it makes you wonder why those left here now correctly pointing out nothing achieved, all a disaster etc etc are still here?

Same here but perhaps he and / or the TG are not yet any the wiser and we all want it to be specific / correct / clear this time round.

Agreed. I was just pointing out that I don't think we can assume that that reference in EDL interims which would have been written a few days ago (?) is referring to the new specific tender process that was recently announced and discussed on here. Just as we cant assume KIBO has to follow this new process for MCPP or that it replaces PPA etc. Until the facts are known and understood its a little unclear for all parties.
