I'd also add its further evidence that the Govt is more determined / attempting to avoid the mistakes of the past and ensure good governance / robust process are in place. I will accept though that they could go about it a little better BUT we cant even get a rigging timetable change right in this country and we are supposed to be advanced.

Shrubby my first thoughts on reading it was this was a specific / additional 600Mw outside of what was on the table and therefore an additional opportunity. It may be esp with the inclusion of the MOUs that they have a lot of competing projects in the under 300Mw space but have determined or decided to focus on a total 600Mw as a priority

If there had been no RNS then this would have been raised on the Board and speculation would have been rife. Dammed if you do and dammed if you don't. If anything it shows LC was aware of it and the speculation it would and has caused.

If you read it they will have to conduct the tender process again for that particular case (amending the tender documentation fort that cotract) NOT the whole process and documentation for PPA's in general.

Replacing LC would destroy a lot of the KIBO's IP which is the relationships LC has built in Africa and with GE / SEPCO etc. Consulting shareholders on a strategy change ... nice idea but aware of any companies that would do this. Kias0r I understand what your saying and no-one really knows anybody on here and what they are buying / selling when or what % of their portfolio they hold where. Different people have different views on risk / reward. As for sentiment rot ... I wouldn't quite put it like that but its clear that has been mounting frustration and declining confidence amongst some .. and this RNS doesn't help as it implies further delay but lacks clarification.

I doubt one or two of the more upbeat posters buying is likely to change their minds in one bit. Although the drop does seem overdone.

I'll pick the trade out for you if you like. Count back I've not topped up that many times.

Agree entirely JDWag and put my money where my mouth is. Its very clear in the RNS that we don't know whether it effects MCPP / PPA negotiations. So worse case it does and there's a delay and possible future opportunities, best case there is no impact and addtional opportunities (for which we are well placed).

That comment to the JSE below is a more positive interpretation of the RNS wording

The Company will also seek clarification whether the tender process announced today will have any impact / effect on its ongoing PPA negotiations with TANESCO in respect of the Company's MCPP in the Songwe district in South Western Tanzania.

Or spin off of KAT and sake of Haneti. Might not have happened in expected timescales but nevertheless they have happened and all discussed here. The only fact you have shared is the bleeding obvious one which is that we don’t have the SML or PPA yet.

I had a reply from LSE this morning following a few emails about there suspension / banning / reporting policy.

JDWag's account was suspended in error and had been re-enabled. I have let him know this and whether he chooses to come back is up to him.
