Is anyone else contemplating investment in this fund? I think it may offer diversificaton, reducing the stock picking risk, especially with overseas shares.
There is clearly a positive sea change in sentiment. I am not certain we will receive an explanation in the near term, although I am desperately curious!
sharehunter3 thanks for your thoughts. I guess day to day fluctuations in sentiment leading to price changes do not really matter to long term holders - PROVIDING when the music stops your holding has earned a reasonable return over time considering the risk your capital has been exposed to. I supposes my concern is that this day to day noise will mask a signal that things have fundamentally taken a turn for the worse! I guess that is what prompted my very open question. I appreciate your response.
A question to you all. How do you judge events like this ? Do you see them as periods of consolidation and balancing (profit taking) after a period of strong growth? Or as reflecting a significant change (a bubble bursting)? What differences would you expect to see that differentiate these scenarios? I would be very interested to hear what you think?

Do you think it costs much to set-up (only, i do not mean "fund") a Sovereign Wealth Fund? Could it perhaps just be a political posturing to deflect eco-dissent?
