I have mostly worked for very large companies in the past 40 years, they all had the level of certification (or equivalent) detailed in the RNS. It had not occurred to me that IES may not have this level of business control, but it is a very good thing they do, verified and validated by ISO. An article by Proactive Investors mentions "It is now one of the only flow battery manufacturers worldwide to hold all three standards concurrently." I consider that while not a driver for share price growth in itself as many large customers would expect this as a matter of course, obtaining this removes obstacles for significant future business.

By good luck rather than smart thinking, when I bailed from HTWG I invested the proceeds directly in IES at an average of 78.88p. This was very fortunate!

Lurka, I expect the standards for animal feed would be lower than for human consumption. That being the case it could be that producing pet food would be a good trial run, leading to the eventual production for human consumption? Just a thought, what do you think? Regards, SimonV

No, I am not Being The Banker, but I do find it disturbing when they are criticised for making observations that are not fully upbeat. Death and taxation are the only two certainties in life. I consider that Being The Banker raised legitimate concerns regarding cash flow, which is vindicated by the company specifically addressing them in the RNS. I appreciate his astute analysis. Thank you.

I now view this fund as too broad based so have sold my holding for more specific holdings.
