By good luck rather than smart thinking, when I bailed from HTWG I invested the proceeds directly in IES at an average of 78.88p. This was very fortunate!
I now view this fund as too broad based so have sold my holding for more specific holdings.
Invest here : H2 for power-2-gas energy storage, transportation or conversion from renewables or waste recycling.
I don’t think there is a need to cross fingers, the need for sustainable hydrogen in the world is too great for this etf to fail.
Bought in this morning. Also hold AFC and ITM but wanted to spread the risk a little. Fingers crossed now :)
This link takes you to a full list of the holdings of HTWG. This is a great way to tap into a number of international Hydrogen players and beyond the UK players. About 10% is in Vehicle Manufacturers with the remainder mainly industrial and materials players.https://fundcentres.lgim.com/srp/documents-id/7a666181-f14a-470a-bed5-7b095d4fdd15/Fundholdings.csv
I am pleased to say that the Legal & General Hydrogen Economy UCITS ETF is now available to trade on the HL platform, you can find the ETF by following the link here.
Please note, for settlement purposes they have added the GBP listing of the ETF with the ticker (EPIC) of ‘HTWG’.
Problem is the funds available to invest are in a stocks and shares isa and cant be easily transfered to another platform. Hope they get their act together this week. They have sat on this for past 11 days.
Hi DH. I’m invested through the ii platform. Initially I couldn’t trade as HTWG was a new stock to trade. After a conversation with ii they said the would investigate. Hey presto....tradings now possible.
Finally decided to invest here today. I’ve been in and out of ITM, PHE and a LTH in AFC. But this stock spreads the hydrogen sector which attracts my investment plans.
HTWG seems like a good basket of stocks in the field. Disappointed when I looked at the portfolio to see that FCEL is by far the biggest holding... This company has been 'economical with the truth' about contract status- so I'll continue looking for a vehicle to invest in.
Hydrogen not in favor today, I heard that the hydrogen supply pipes froze last week in the north east where they are trialing hydrogen to run the hearing system on some houses?
Sold most of my Hydrogen stock to invest in HTWG. As you say, less stressful than checking each individual holding. Holding in cash at the moment as for some reason H L won’t let the ETF on their platform. Anyone give a reason why ?
ITM down 9%, CWR down 3% and AFC down as well today. I want to sell these I have held for 3 years to put in here not sure of the timing, but less stressful I hope!
This fund looks to be what I'm looking for, potentially a risky investment, but I see Hydrogen is where the future needs to head, in my mind. This may be a long and winding road with many bumps, but the future is changing fast. This is a massive opportunity, we need governments to see the potential is real. Some good choice of stocks combined in this hydrogen focused etf.
I always try to invest in GBP. Avoids the unknown dimensions of exchange rates as well as extra charges.
After investing in several companies that have interests in H2 production and related items I will now be turning to HTWG to give me access to this growing commodity. I just have to decide if I should invest in the GBP or USD ETF.
Very interesting BBC business article "The global race to produce hydrogen offshore"

Hi SueJ. Been invested in hydrogen fuel cells from R&D > commercialisation for 11 years. The Hydrogen Economy is definitely gaining traction and this fund is a brilliant way to spread the sector. I’ll do some more research and look at dipping in!
This ETF gives good exposure to the future and developing Hydrogen economy. Some overlaps with INRG and RENG ETFs.
Should do well over this year and beyond with the usual up & downs.
