Yes you will be taxed on the difference between what you paid for the BOR shares and what you received from the takeover. You get 12,300 of gains a year tax free and any gains in an ISA are tax free. You did well to get some capital gains on FOGL and DES they both lost me a lot of money that I hope to get back via BOR.

As the new shares were issued at 1.3p my only grumble is that I wasn’t allocated more. Frankly any dilution has disappeared into the ether and I can’t understand why anyone is in the least bit bothered. Having switched a good chunk out of RKH not BOR a couple of weeks ago I am very happy with how things are coming along. I’d be amazed if 10p wasn’t passed on next decent bit of news and frankly any hint that FI development is going ahead either via RKH or BOR will see this boom up to at least 25p.

Did the slides contain anything new? Didn’t look like it to me but then without news (RNS) you wouldn’t expect anything new really

I agree Rookie results are a lot later than usual but not sure why as any significant news would come via RNS not annual Accounts.

Decided to bite the bullet and sold 1/3 of my RKH this morning and reinvested it straight into BOR .. gut feeling from all I read here is that BOR is a cleaner situation with larger upside from current price. Hard to call because if one jumps with good news the other is likely to go up too, just seem to be fewer complications with BOR

Progress reading between the lines I sense you may have some experience in O &G? I was drawn to the Falklands story 12 years ago after reading about the potential for it to be another North Sea bonanza. Have stuck to my guns and stayed with it all this time in spite of significant derision from many friends and feel more optimistic about it than ever now! We know the reserves are there and I can’t see the Israelis along with their American friends trucking any c**p from the Argies!

Interesting move Progress. I have around 120,000 shares in RKH and 175,000 in BOR but have been mulling over whether I should shift some out of RKH and into BOR maybe if only to be more like 50/50 in value between the 2? So maybe sell 30,000 RKH and buy another 100,000 BOR with proceeds? mmm ?!

I hope Peel Hunt are paying Edison to do their job for them!!

A lot of the science re SAR goes over my head to be honest but the insight and knowledge guys like you provide on here is fantastic! I have believed in the massive potential here to treat various serious conditions since I first came across SAR in early 2011 which is when I bought in so the last 12 months have been very exciting and the next 12 probably even more so! Sounds like the filing for clinical trials CTA is a big step forward however is it likely to affect the share price before we get the results of the trials? Is the mere fact a product is going into clinical trial a price driver?

I estimate 2 billion would be a share price of £30 approx. Always felt anything above £14 would be just fantastic so around 1 billion! As SRRA sold for £1.5 billion and we have a better pipeline of products 1 - 2 billion is most definitely within bounds
