When Alex Ferguson was first managing Manchester United and struggling in his early days the negative newspaper reports used to drive him mad. He got so upset that in the end went to discuss things with Matt Busby and told him the papers were driving him mad . Matt just said “we’ll why read them” .. so he stopped reading them! Sounds so simple. I feel a bit like that with SAR; because a successful result from the research SAR are doing could make such a significant difference to my (and many peoples) personal finances it is almost possible not to check LSE several times during the day but my goodness it gets frustrating and stressful when nothing happens for such a long time!

There is no doubt that my generation (born between 1945 and 1960) have been pretty much the luckiest generation ever. The peace, freedom and opportunities we have enjoyed have been extraordinary. Affordable houses, free university education, travel, music, unfettered comedy. The opportunities that SAR coming good would present would be the cherry on the icing on the cake!

5 billion one day .. that would be £70 a share. Worth hanging on to last couple thousand shares for that although pretty sure SAR would have been taken out well before then. Between £1 billion and £2 billion seems a distinct possibility for these types of bio tech/ Pharma companies. £1 billion is the fabled £14 a share (28p) so for me anything above that would be just brilliant.

Blockbuster I’ve spent the morning looking at candlesticks, heads, shoulders, tops, bottoms, cups, handles, flags, triangles, wedges, pennants, trend lines, supports, resistances, peaks and troughs, necklines and concluded that a buy price of £1 and a sell price of £14 would be a good result; you may have missed the £1 but the £14 is still feasible if you believe in the science as many of us still do; if you don’t believe in the science probably worth looking elsewhere.

Stay cool .. this went up nearly 3 fold to nearly £3 in a just 3 weeks in April .. could easily happen again .. potential is always there. Would people sell if it got to £3 again?

3,000 shares at £3
3,000 shares at £4.50 (old 9p as in August last year)
3,000 shares at £6.75
3,000 shares at £10
3,000 shares at £14 (Thoths fabled 28p)
Having invested originally at 60p (old 1.2p) I’d be absolutely thrilled with that and well worth the wait!

Certainly is .. I had managed to avoid it for nearly 2 1/2 years .. went to a fund raising do last Friday at the Castle in Arundel and tested positive on Wednesday as did several others there. Symptoms no worse than a summer cold .. slept all day yesterday and feel a lot better(almost normal) today! Will self isolate for another 4 days although I’m not sure this is obligatory any more.
Don’t understand why they make such a big deal now of a condition which for most people is only mildly uncomfortable and for only a short period of time.
