I’ve always felt we are tackling this from the wrong angle. No-one can deny climate change or global warming but more controversial is the cause and how much if it is really caused by human activity and how much by other factors? However given that it is a fact of life then we need to deal with it. There is little the U.K. can do to affect emissions worldwide so why trash the economy trying? We should just ban all house building within 10 feet of sea level immediately in U.K. Then over a period of 100 years all the housing stock in U.K. could be replaced by dwellings a safe distance from rising sea levels .. simple!
They can’t possibly have charged 60,000 for that? There’s absolutely nothing there that isn’t in the public domain already and it adds no insight at all. In a word .. pointless. Not even a price target!!
We have some chums who moved to Praia da Luz 2 years ago for same reason .. beautiful little town with lovely beach and beach view restaurants at half the price of Côte d’Azur!!
Investor meets by SAR are never good .. their presentation skills are terrible! No charisma no inspiration. However they are brilliant scientists so best to let them get on with that and if they come up with what they are expecting (as excitement grows) they and we will all be happy. Nursing a big wound on BOIL this morning; a blockbusting RNS and share price falls 25% unbelievable! As Ferguson once said “AIM .. eh .. bloody hell .. but we never gave up!”
So much for making up the losses I made by getting in to GGP too late. When will I learn? At least I can console myself in the knowledge I did get in to some early SAR, GFM, GNS!
Well done all you guys who got in a few weeks ago .. sadly I arrived late at the party and in spite of the blockbusting RNS I’m in the red this morning!! Brilliant well done Silver!!!! Sure it’ll end up on the week though!! Funny old game AIM investing!!
Sorry it’s my fault .. I bought in this morning at 0.03 and it’s been downhill ever since!! Have I been sucked in to a pump and dump?!!! Of course it’s too early to say I know but have been caught before and it is always very difficult to rationalise volatile movements on AIM and to differentiate between genuine potential and MM games
Just been alerted to BOIL on another BB (SAR) and wonder if I am too late to join the party? I got into GGP after a strong tip on another board but have seen it fall 35% so did miss the boat a bit there but still hopeful. I like oil exploration and am invested in the Falklands story and fancy a pop here too !
Sounds like you are twinning SAR with GGP in your strategy. My twins are RKH and SAR but I did pop 5 10 grand in to GGP earlier in the year when it was 12p so got some catching up to do there but repaired the damage on GGP with a punt on ARV. Complicated webs we weave!! Sticking with all 4 for now as all 4 could turbo charge at any time!!
Given the uncertainty and gloom that has engulfed the SAR board over last few days how would shareholders react now if the price got up to £2 or even £3 again? Would you cash in or stick with it? For what it’s worth I plan to sell another 15% of my remaining shares if it gets to £3 and another 15% at £4 .. wouldn’t they be happy days?!!
MattyBoy .. estimate you have around 20,000 shares. That was a brave punt at around 6.5p old money. Really hope it comes good for you eventually fortune should favour the brave!
Bang on Krusty. Like you I was lucky enough to sell a third of my holding at £3.50 (old 7p) having bought originally in 2011 at 60p (old 1.2p) and so will never lose on this share. Looking at the last 12 years apart from the massive spike in 2021 the natural price level seems to have been between up and down around £1.20 so last years opportunity was a real bonus. Just like my 12 year investment in Falklands Oil this is an educated punt on a great story and if it comes off there will be alot of very patient very happy people who were brave enough to hold on. It is desperately frustrating seeing this back around £1.20 after last years excitement but with good news it could easily hit £4.50 again or even new heights above that. None of us know but you have to be in it to win it.
The great thing here is that BOR will benefit from anything that happens at RKH. With FID far more likely now with the impact of Navitas then BOR will reap the benefit by association. If Sea Lion proceeds it’s likely Darwin will too and then the whole area opens up. It is painfully slow though.
