Is this the first time PH have given a price target and buy recommendation for SAR?

How refreshing that we now appear to have some control over the process unlike over here in the U.K. where I still haven’t had a response from the utterly useless MHRA to my FOI request in early April!

Is it possible to tell if the trial has started yet? It’ll be close of business by now in Australia for today

Reminded me of my last prostate exam. Doctor muttered "Don’t worry it’s perfectly normal to get an erection in this situation." I responded I was fine. Doctor said "I was talking to myself".

Not just informative and intuitive but great sense of humour too!!

Like everyone else on the SAR forum I was desperately sad to hear the news confirming Thoth had passed away a few months ago although I guess many on here feared as much. He provided great insight to many of us who lacked his understanding of the science and possibilities .. here providing his wisdom in a clear and easy to follow manner. He will always be synonymous with his prediction that this share might one day achieve a price of 28p (£14 in todays money and a valuation of £1 billion). That would represent a life changing scenario for many of us investors here who will be eternally grateful to Thoth for his wisdom and I will certainly retain a large chunk of my shares until that target is reached not least out of respect for his visionary comments. Could see 20% rise once trial starts next week. Thereafter anywhere between £4 and 50p depending on success or otherwise of trial.

£10 takeover .. yup guess I would take that having invested in 2011 at 1.2p (60p in todays money)!! Luckily no CGT to pay!

DM That’s an interesting but desperately sad thought .. the complete and utter lack of leadership and inspired thought in the western world now is crying out for a lateral thinking maverick to get us all back on track. I was born in 1955 and feel utterly blessed to have lived through one of the most golden eras of freedom, fun, wealth opportunity and good health ever but despair at the direction things have headed since the mid 00’s.

Read Dr Steven Koonin’s book Unsettled questioning in a proper intellectual way the current science on climate change. He says the science is NOT settled at all!

Whilst not disagreeing that the planet is warming he argues that claiming this is purely down to human activity is highly questionable and that other factors are at work too. He questions a lot of the models used by scientists suggesting the results and assumptions used are often being tweaked to create the results the scientists want; he claims many climate change scientists are effectively cooking the books!

His conclusion is that the billions that are being spent on new technologies to reduce emissions are being wasted because it won’t make any difference and so we should be looking at other more practical ways of dealing with the effects of rising temperature.

He is of course dismissed as a crank by many scientists in the Establishment. but he has an impeccable scientific background and he deserves the title Climate Realist!

Looking at potential outcomes from where we are now I’m feeling very optimistic.

Assuming a decent shareholding of 10,000 shares currently worth £11,750. Poor news on the 1801 trial might see a drop of 50% so a loss of £5,875. Good news on 1801 could see the price move up to £3 or more. A gain of £18,250. I feel pretty comfortable with a risk return scenarios like that although others may question the potential downside and upside.

TAXATION

On the 8 April 2015, the Group agreed binding documentation ("Tax Settlement Deed") with the FIG in relation to the tax arising from the Group's farm out to Premier.

The Tax Settlement Deed confirms the quantum and deferment of the outstanding tax liability and is made under Extra Statutory Concession 16.

The Tax Settlement Deed also states that the Group is entitled to make adjustments to the outstanding tax liability if and to the extent that the Commissioner is satisfied that any part of the Development Carry becomes irrecoverable. Under the Transaction the balance of Development Carry has become irrecoverable and in the Group's judgment no further amounts are due on the Group's 2012 farm-out to Premier.

Given the highly material nature of this judgment professional advice has been sought to confirm that it is probable that if challenged it would be concluded that the Group is entitled to adjust the outstanding tax liability for the irrecoverable Development Carry. As such the Group has derecognised the tax liability to measure it at the most likely amount that the liability will be settled for of US$nil. We are currently engaged with FIG formalising the tax implications of the termination of the 2012 Premier Oil farm down which resulted in irrecoverable carry of approximately US$ 670 million.

Should it be proven that there is no entitlement to adjustment under the Tax Settlement Deed then the outstanding tax liability would be £59.6 million and still payable on the earlier of: (i) the first royalty payment date on Sea Lion; (ii) the date of which Rockhopper disposes of all or a substantial part of the Group's remaining licence interests in the North Falkland Basin; or (iii) a change of control of Rockhopper Exploration plc.

In this unlikely instance Management believes the most likely timing of payment is in line with the first royalty payment. Based on previous correspondence with FIG, Management does not believe that the Transactions completion constitutes a substantial disposal and therefore would not have accelerated the liability should it be shown to be still payable.

The derecognition of the tax liability has led to a tax income of US$38.8 million.

Doesn’t seem like anyone is too bothered about Starmers bonkers comments so I’ll relax on that too and enjoy the results instead!!

Might be worth reading Steven Koonan’s brilliant book Unsettled? which objectively questions the current conventional wisdom on climate change being forced on the world by a majority of scientists, the so called experts!! The book has over 4000 reviews on Amazon over 95% positive!

Is any one concerned that Starmer’s lunatic policy not to grant new North Sea licences could also affect the Falklands? These bloody idiot climate change fanatics seem determined to do all they can to shoot the UK economy in the foot

Just wondering how long the 1801 clinical trial is likely to take if things go well?

I’m hoping positive results from 1a clinical trials in next few months and a resulting share price of > £4 so I can sell a few shares and stop working; have carried on working part time for last 15 months to stop inflation eating into my pension but being able to sell say 20% of my holding at £4 would put an end to that!
