Tbh, even at the full price of £35 for a day return it seems quite cheep. A similar, limited time ashore, type of day trip out to Lundy from Bideford is £95. Majority of those wishing to make such a trip out to Scilly, if outside of Cornwall, are looking at several hours travel time and expense just to get to Penzance. It would take me about two and I'm only two or three miles into Devon. So, I can't imagine saving a tenner would be high on the list, when choosing WHEN to take the trip. Might sway some locals, or those down that way on holiday, looking for something different to do for the day.

Personally, I would rather spend two hours with my fingers down my throat, as that would amount to about the same sort of experience. Not a big fan of small boats. :)

Above all, at least they have their prices up and available to book. JW is about start annoying a whole new group of people with missed timelines by not getting the bookings page available when he stated it would be. Not a good message to be giving, with a new venture.

The other vessels " by" the Jenny D? As in the same area of Blyth dock that it's moored at? I think it's the South Harbour Terminal. There is a fishing boat, the Endurance and a pleasure craft, the Wansbeck and further down is a high speed craft called the HST Grace. Further north, in the other harbour are some tugs. Did you notice something linked to the wind farm by any chance? Wouldn't that be a surprise. In a port the services a wind farm development. :)

The SeaRose still too far out to register on any land based AIS tracking stations but has an ETA: 07 Feb @ 08:00 according to various trackers and 04 Feb @ 10:42 according to Belfast harbour. Regardless, it's due in next week. Expecting some press coverage but wouldn't imagine anything new. Just the same old stuff, but re-hashed.

The newly named Atlantic Wolff is either onboard the heavy lift vessel heading for Mexico via the Panama Canel or is still awaiting a crew in French Polynesia. (Or it may also be repelling boarders from a Klingon battlecruiser.)

Still no fare prices or a timetable up on the Scilly Ferries website for the coming summer season, though. I'm sure those booking holidays to the Isles would like to see them.

Oh, and there is still that big cruise ship alongside at the SRQ.

They did have the option to take a little over a 50% in the project, after they funded the initial test drill and the purchase of the land, but stepped away in 2014 for the reason given below.

"Following a review of its European wide gas assets portfolio which determined that further investment in gas storage in Northern Ireland is no longer aligned with the portfolio's objectives, BP Gas Marketing Limited ("BPGM") has decided to relinquish its option to acquire 50.495% of the shares of IMSL and will therefore not be taking any further participation in the project. BPGM's funding over the past two years has enabled Islandmagee Storage Limited ("IMSL"), the project company, to make much progress with the project, including the securing of land rights, planning permission for the project, and the capital investment in the construction of a well pad. More recently all the remaining pipeline easements have been obtained and agreements reached with The Crown Estate in relation to a sub-surface agreement for lease and a pipelines lease."

I'm sure there will be some differences of opinion in some of what is in that paragraph. :)

2012? That seems a lot further back than I remember the fund being setup. That's back whe BP had a stake in the project and they were only just about planning to an exploration well.

Like you say, BT, it's ideally positioned on the East coast and H&W's only yard covering that side of the country. Not including Aberdeen as it's neither a yard or, as far as I know yet, actually doing anything tangible, yet.

Huge opperations like the Dogger Bank arrays not far away off the North East coast of England and not a sniff of work. The Scotish government didn't half chuck some money at it trying to make it a viable site and it looks like them pulling the plug and not going ahead with yet another loan guarantee lost them the contract that sealed their fate.

Not that I would think anyone should care or even be checking , it won't show up in the trades here, as it also didn't show up on ADVFN or even register on my charts. Reason being, Barclays tend to put some trades through on the Aquis exchange. Gave it 20 mins and checked the main stock exchage page for Harl and it was a no show there as well. So just a bit of info, if you are the kind of person that has the time and inclination for tallying up trades during the day, keep an eye on the Aquis also.
